Maybe he deserved it
Or maybe he didn't
When he stepped out of the house
And had his eyes squint
They were all gone
Nothing left to their name
Only he lived on
From this little game
The boys he once knew
Taken from his sight
All because
Of that one night
He had screamed
He had cried
As he was bound
And watched as they died
One by one
Piece by piece
He was the one
To attend that feast
The feast for the winner
Who survived the longest
While all of the others
Lost their progress
Six down to one
Now the brothers were
All because
They had followed that lure
Bound
Chained
Beaten
Maimed
The kidnappers laughed
As they screamed and cried
Even he had
But he didn't die
He wanted to take their place
Take back that vote
When all of their hands
Casted what they wrote
It was his name
All across the board
Maybe because
He had walked toward
Each one of them
Offering a smile
Acting as if
It was over in a while
His light shone brightly
Outshined the rest
Which is why his name
They did suggest
"Six of you came"
The leader had said
"One will leave
but five will be dead"
Sweat had trickled
Down the back of their heads
And they wished
That they were back in their beds
So the five out of the six
Told the leader of the pack
That he was the one
That shall be held back
That he wasn't to die
And the rest were to go
He screamed while they agreed
And thought of himself as the foe
So they were all lead
To that small space
Bound in shackles
In a cold place
They gave them time
To look each other in the eyes
Similar faces
And similar lies
They said their "I love you's"
And the "Please don't cry's"
How they all tried to wipe away his tears
And they said their good bye's
But then he had to watch
Watch the mysterious men
Take away the only thing
He ever loved
And once they were all gone
All dead and cut
He was invited to the feast
To celebrate his freedom of the rut
He asked why they did this
And all four looked at the other
One looked to him
"You were six brothers.
Sextuplets are rare
But only one was meant to be
So pain you must bear.
We had to get rid of five
So there would be but one.
It's only natural
And of course fun."
But his heart was too heavy
He didn't care their response
Their pleasure
Was his taunts
And so they blindfolded him
And took them to their car
And off they went with him
Driving quite far
He couldn't take in the area
For all was dark
Until the car stopped
And came to a park
They opened his door
And grabbed his arm
They tossed him out
Not caring if he was harmed
He heard the door slam
And the engine start
And the sound faded away
Along with his heart
His hands went up
Took the cloth from his eyes
He looked around
And was taken by surprise
He knew nothing near
Not a single place
And he felt quite joyous
Upon seeing someone's face
"Hey," He called
"Please come here!
I cannot help it
That I'm stricken with fear!"
The face looked over
He had kind blue eyes
He walked towards the boy
Whose brothers had died
He offered him shelter
He offered him warmth
And one day that boy said,
"I am the fourth.
There once were six.
And I was number four.
Until that fateful day
When we walked out the door."
