"You taught me spells - " Her glowing white eyes narrowed, staring up at the dragon's evil red orbs; eyes that only reminded her of her father's, "but I just learned a curse."
Black magic brought Malchior's book flying out of the gaping hole in the Tower, right into her hand. The dragon reered back it's head, deep voice echoing throughout Jump City's bay, "NO!", just as a ball of fire formed in his mouth, bursting out towards Raven. The heat encreased, nearly encasing her, before her mouth formed the very words he had taught her.
The magic worked quickly. From the clean white book shot a beam of black, zapping Malchior directly in the face. Spikes of magic shot out of him, imploding him, destroying him from the inside; his remains were vaccumed back into the book from which he came - only when she shut the cover was when his screams stopped. The silence, aside from her heavy breething, was slightly eery - of course, though, the empath was used to eery.
Holding the book close to her, Raven slid her eyes shut, suddenly too tired to levitate. Too tired to stand. Falling to her knees once she hit the Tower's top, she placed the book in front of her. As she reopened her eyes, her team approached. Cautious, she could sense. Worried. But all she saw was the white of her robes pooling around her, matching the color of his book, matching the color of his armor. Too much white, so much that it burned her eyes just looking at it. She willed her robes to return to their navy blue and black.
"Raven...are you okay?" Robin was the first to speak, reaching a hand out to her. She could smell their emotions like a bad scent - concerned, yet frightened.
Raven pulled her hood lower over her face, trying to ignore the tears building up in her eyes. Her teammates stood in a circle around her, apprehensive. They didn't know what to say - how to feel. 'They wouldn't understand,' Raven thought bitterly, thinking of how Malchior had ever-so-kindly taken her emotions into consideration, for once. Malchior, who had loved her and called her beautiful, making her laugh and smile more times than she could ever remember.
But he had lied.
He had endagered her friends.
He had endangered her mind.
Their negative emotions swarming her brain, she finally opened her mouth, croaking out three words she told them all too often,
"Leave me alone."
In a flash of smoke and black magic, Raven vanished.
She opened the trunk in her room, fingering her the uneven lock of hair mindlessly. Malchior had sliced a bit of it off to use in the potion to make him human again - he had said it had to be a bit of hair from a beautiful girl. The man had used words that she yearned to hear, cutting down the guard around her mind and heart easily. Placing the book within the empty chest, she got to her chest, wondering how to confront her teammates. But before she could do anything else, there was a knock at her door.
"Raven? It's me."
Her hands fisted, but not out of anger. Out of nervousness, shame, and pure embarrassment. He was the last person she wanted to speak to, but he was also the person she needed to speak to.
Beast Boy.

Just wanted to comment on the aftermath of Spellbound, which I recently watched. It's one of my favorites (mostly likely due to the heavily implied BBRae). This is more of just an emotional drabble than anything else. Just some practice, I suppose.
