The tower

— Close up your eyes and open them only until I tell you… — he ordered. She quickly obeyed his command and as soon as he saw her beautiful face full of excitement he smiled too. Not wanting to make her wait any longer, he guided her to the inside of the elevator.

The pinkette could hear a lot of voices around her, all of them speaking in different accents and unknown languages to her but with the very exception of one, a very thick French accent belonging to him.

— It will be a matter of minutes, be patient. You will love it. — he whispered close to her ear.

Suddenly, Aelita felt the elevator's movement going up and the cold air of the night brushing her face. Feeling a tingling bobbing in her stomach, she couldn't stop smiling. She buried her face into his chest, and he didn't lose his chance to surround her with his arms.

— Are we there yet? — she anxiously asked.

— Soon.

The travel seemed like an eternity but they finally arrived and the elevator's door opened. She clearly listened the crowd going out in a rush, leaving them behind. He took her hand again, and she let herself to be guided by him.

— Now, Jeremy?

He didn't reply and kept walking a few steps far of the crowd. Looking out from the corner of his eye he saw her pink hair, now longer than before, messed up by the strong wind. With her eyes still closed she tried to comb it again but without success. Then, he took her by the shoulders and softly pushed her into his desired place and decided not to make her wait any longer.

— Now, open your eyes. —he whispered.

All at once, she felt the bliss overwhelming her senses. The lights of the city decorated Paris in such a way words can't describe. The landscape was the most beautiful she'd ever seen, so nice and stood there for a few seconds, speechless. From that moment on, the beauty of the view would forever be engraved in her mind. Willing to share the joy she was feeling, she turned around looking for her blonde companion. When her eyes finally spotted him, tears began to come down from her greenish eyes.

He was on his knee and holding in his hand a very small box only dimmed by the shine of the ring within it.

— My world changed the day I found you on a Lyoko's tower, now inside of this Iron Tower you have the chance to change it again… Aelita, will you marry me?

The lips of the pinkette trembled in silence, her head moving up and down in sobs.

— Y-yes, Jeremy — she finally replied.

Immediately, his eyes got wet and couldn't wait to hug her very tightly and sealed their promise with more than one warm kiss, both feeling overwhelmed with emotions.

— I love you.

— I love you too. — He replied, putting the ring on his future wife's hand.

Neither of them could ever forget the day they visited the great iron tower. Never.
