Chapter 1 Ideas
It was a week before Halloween, and conversations about the annual Halloween Feast filled the Great Hall at breakfast.
"The Halloween Feast is the best part of the school year!", Ron exclaimed, filling his plate with eggs for the second time, "Pie, pumpkin juice, all the food you could eat!"
Hermione rolled her eyes, "Honestly, Ron, all you ever think about is food. When the Halloween feast takes place, it means we only have a month left to study for Mid-Term Exams."
Ron sneered at the thought of tests. Before he could protest, Dumbledore stood up from his chair and adjusted his throat, signaling for attention.
"I regret to announce that the Halloween Feast has been canceled for this year. I would tell you why, but hey, life is full of mysteries."
The whole Great Hall was both confused and disappointed. Within a matter of seconds, Ron fainted onto the floor.
Later that night, Ron sat in the common room by himself, which was very rare for him. He would be sleeping by now. He never thought that a simple Feast cancellation would affect him like this. Not only him, but the whole school was disappointed. The Halloween Feast was much more than food and conversation. The school tradition had evolved into much more. After eating, there was dancing and even more snacking, and the most important thing, the chance for shy students to hook up with their crushes. Yes, that was the most important thing. Without the Halloween Feast, they would probably never get the chance.
At that moment, Ron got the perfect idea. He would organize a party (secretly of course, so no teachers would find out) to take place of the Feast, and maybe do some match-making on the side....
