You are My Miracle

Chapter 1

If anyone would tell Elena Gilbert that she would meet her soulmate at the diner that night she thought they would have been crazy, but on that faithful night fate had a plan to forever change both of their lives. Elena just didn't know it yet. After all when someone imagines how they meet their soulmate busting tables wouldn't be one of those fantasies.

"Hey babe, over here." a customer shouted to her as she tried to clear another table.

Rolling her eyes, she followed the voice who had called her and was met with whistles and cat calls. If she hadn't been on duty she would have been dealt with it in an entirely different way, but since she was at work she had to act professional. God she hated this job sometimes.

"What can I help you with sir?" she asked getting her notepad ready.

"You can help me by giving me a piece of that sweet ass."

Elena gave her eyes a hard roll and was about to leave when the guy smacked her ass hard. She gave a yelp and was about to punch him as a reflex when she heard a sweet voice coming from behind her.

"Excuse me but I think you owe that woman an apology."

The guy in the booth laughed and approached the guy that was trying to protect her getting as close to his face as humanly possible.

"What are you gonna do if I don't tough guy?"

A fist slammed into the guys jaw as his head hit the table causing him to pass out. Holy shit. What the hell had just happened? The man who had just defended her touched her face turning it towards him as she breathed a sigh of relief. He had defended her. No one had ever really done that before.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

Elena nodded as the guy looked back at the others who were now cowering in the booth.

"If I were you I would leave this woman a more than generous tip for your behavior. And don't skimp out on it or else I will know and I wouldn't want to be you when that happens."

At first Elena thought they would try to act tough again instead the group of guys poured what was in their pockets on the table and ran out of the restaurant like they couldn't get out of there fast enough. She wondered what the hell that was about.

She turned to the mysterious guy who had just saved her from kicking the guys ass herself. Usually she didn't really like it when mysterious guys saved her, but since he did save her from losing her job she guessed she should make an exception.

"Thank you."

"It was no problem. I've had a couple of run ins with those guys and I know what they're like."

"Yeah. Their my regulars so I have a pretty good idea what they're like."

"I doubt that, but then again no one ever really knows a person."

Elena gave him a pointed look, but didn't say anything. After all it wasn't like he was wrong. No one really knew a person.

"Well thanks again for taking care of those guys. I appreciate it."

"Anytime."

She gave him a smile before she walked away wondering when she would see the mysterious guy again.
