Disclaimer: I do not, in any shape or form, own the rights the video game series known as Kingdom Hearts. I am however the creator of this very poem that is themed around the very plot in which Kingdom Hearts was influenced by.
A/N: I'm pretty sure you came here for the story, NOT the A/N. And because of that I'll let you read this particular KH themed poem. I will mention though that this isn't specifically aimed towards a specific part of the series, let along after the series. It does, though, *trying not to spoil* is shown is a POV stance, but it's not exactly in one character's POV, nor does the poem say which POVs it features. This also give vague portrayals of some of the events that happen in the POVS, but I won't say what they, are, since they may or may not be shown in this paticular poem. Confused? Just read the poem, since that's what you came here for, right?
I saw you every single day
on the island where we used to play.
We even had a secret spot
where we would draw upon the stony rock.
Over time, it became even more
as we viewed the sunset by the open shore
and ponder about the future as the day turned to night,
thinking we were part of something more in sight.
But in a series of events, our lives had changed,
knowing for a time that nothing would be the same.
It made me wonder how I got out of line
yet still stood forth the test of time.
Did your heart gave in when you didn't believe
that I was still there, that I was still me?
Something had happened, and I knew it for sure
when your memories changed- when they became a blur.
At first you started to forget the past
which was replaced with something else that would never last.
You tried to remember what you had lost
with a drift into sleep with a new friend's cost.
For a year I've focused on journeys past
to connect a bridge towards memory's clasp.
And a search within the dark of night-
a road to dawn, a way to light.
Yet although right now we seem far apart
We're still connected by the path of our hearts.
There will be a time where we'll meet again
when the worlds have light and the chains all mend
and we'll be on the island with our feet in the sand,
with the smell of the sea and the sun's golden tan.
And like we before, we'll watch the sun turn to nigh
now knowing we are part of something more in sight.
