It Started with a Kiss

Smiling lazily, I took the cup from his hands. The cup of life. And this was understood when I stared into his heavy lidded eyes, and I soon found myself lost and drowning in the depths of their dark, rich colors and shades of black.

"Ginny," he whispered, and my heart fluttered to think that he could pronounce my name with such hot passion mixed with apprehension and fear. If they caught us, we'd both be shunned out of the magical world we live in. If we were caught, like this, he'd be shot down and dead, I'm sure.

"Shh," I hushed, my hands feverishly putting down the silver goblet. The simple act somehow elevated itself at the present time, but I knew that this was not the time to ponder over a chalice of the elixir of an eternity. Profound? Who needed profound when you could have passion and excitement? And contentment. There was always happiness here, alone with just him.

I gave my love a gentle shove to which he complied, and slowly began unbuttoning his black shirt. "Lean back, and shut your eyes," I growled lightly into his ear.

He stayed silent and his eyes fluttered to a shut. I breathed angel kisses onto his eyelashes, and then I bent over his lips. He had some extra sense that told him the exact location of my lips over his, and this sixth sense caused him to perk up a little, in yearning for the taste of me. I could not let him off so easily. I may have been on fire, but to give in so easily was beyond the point. I leant back upward, straddling his lap and placing my hands on his chest.

He was always so cold. I could never understand how I could be so flushed with heat and blush, feeling on fire, when he was like ice beneath my fingertips. Smirking slightly, I waited while he opened his eyes to gaze towards the stars.

"What?" he questioned upon seeing, feeling, and fearing my pause.

"Are you ready to give in?" I said, not quite whispering, and not quite speaking normally.

"You dare to ask me such a question, Miss Weasley," he coldly replied. "But remember…" he trailed off. We both got silent and I got cool for just a moment to remember in solemnity that this could be our last time.

"It's one more night," I replied coolly. His arms came up to my waist, gently, as he pulled me down to his lips. We were joined at the soul in that moment, and I melted, as I always do, under the power of such a breathtaking kiss. "And perhaps our last night in Paradise."

He reached out hastily, grabbing the silver cup, touching it to his lips and to mine. "Let us live forever!"

"Cut the cheesiness, Sev," I smiled despite myself. We got quiet, listening for footsteps, and, upon hearing none, I laid myself on top of him and gave in once more.

We consecrated the Elixir that night with a virgin sacrifice of sorts. Not death, per se, but death to the world and life itself. For to live forever was to die to the world; to join Gryffindor and Slytherin was just as unspeakable as finding a sixteen-year-old student lying naked on the ground of a school classroom next to a forty-year-old professor. But, in this, it is key to remember that our Secret lives on forever and always; two souls live somewhere in this great world, always together and never apart.

I laugh to think that it all started with a kiss.

AN: this was in annoyance with R rated fics that end up with 40,000words before the two characters even KISS. grrrrrr, it annoys me.

but review, please, i'd like to know what y'all think. it HAS been, like, 6months since i've written fanfiction. and excuse the pairing. it was random.
