"Himawari-chan!! Thank you so much!"
Watanuki bubbled enthusiastically. The cheerful motions of the hormone-energized youth seemed noticed only by the dimwitted Himawari, yet were observed by one other. Doumeki leaned against the gym wall, shadowed from sight by a tree. With a few minutes left till class, the stone king had removed himself from his zealous following, seeking peace. Here, he discovered fellow royals, but not connected by any courtly means, secluded as well, but they looked to enjoy it. While anyone could tell that Himawari, the Sunflower (and Oblivious) Princess, did not return the boy's infatuation, neither seemed to care. Provoked by mere curiosity, Doumeki ambled over in time to catch:
"A fluke isn't good enough for him! A miracle! That's it! A miracle!!"
The Stone King decided to make himself known.
"And six full-fledged miracles happened at the school today."
The cold aura that washed over Doumeki as Watanuki turned came as a welcome surprise. So often surrounded with sappy admirers, such antagonism was a nice change. Doumeki continued to provoke the exuberant youth, inwardly delighting at the chilly comebacks. Aware of the time, Doumeki turned to leave throwing one last remark over his shoulder:
"If I keep talking to a fool, I'll be late for the next class."
Watanuki blustered as Doumeki turned back around, then stopped.
"You two better get to class, too."
Surprised he felt the need to make sure they didn't get in trouble, Doumeki continued on his way to class, aware of the frosty glare still intent on him. Well, he mused, they don't call him the Ice Prince for nothing.
