Ziva David feared nothing, or so everyone else thought! The normally poised and in control Mossad Officer had wide eyes and was on top of the dining room table with her gun in her hand, pointed to the floor, her hands shaking, "" she screamed, knowing her husband was down in the basement.
Jethro was cutting out the wood ready to make the furniture for their unborn child's nursery, when the sound of his beloved wife's voice flowed through the air, her tone flooded with fear making him drop what he was doing and run up the stairs, bounding up the stairs skipping a few with every step he took.
Seeing her on the table he looked curious, and looked around not seeing any danger he was at a loss of what to do and moved towards her, "What's wrong?" he asked curious and worried
Ziva moved and climbed off of the table into his arms, staring at the kitchen cabinet, "Mouse" she whispered in fear
Jethro burst into laughter, "Your scared of a mouse?"
Ziva rolled her eyes and 'Gibbs-slapped' him, "It's not funny, they are dirty and yuck" she said cringing
Gibbs couldn't control his laughter, "I'm sorry Zee, I shouldn't laugh, How about I get you to the sofa and then I get rid of it and block up that hole?" he asked once he regulated his own breathing and had the ability to speak back again.
Ziva smiled and kissed him softly, "Toda" she said softly, in between her passionate kisses, "and our baby says thank you as well"
Jethro grinned, "Oh really?" he asked happily as he walked her into the front room, distracting her from the mouse with kisses
Ziva laced her hand through his silver hair, "Yep, Really, See?" she asked putting his hand on her stomach to show him their unborn child's strong kicks
Both grinned happily feeling their child's movements, and he lay her on the sofa before disappearing into the kitchen to fix up the hole beneath the cabinet.
Ziva smiled watching her husband from where she lay, feeling safe with him there knowing that he would protect her. Even if it is something is small as a mouse. Jethro is always there for her.
