"I tell ya, Elvis is alive and kicking," Jack replied vehemently. Daniel scowled at him.

"First of all, this is the stupidest conversation I have ever had with you, bar none. Second of all, Elvis could not possibly be alive. He died a while ago," Daniel said. "People do not magically come back to life."

Jack raised an eyebrow at him.

Daniel rethought his statement. "People don't usually magically come back to life," he amended.

"Hah! See? Elvis could be alive," Jack said.

"No," Daniel growled, closing his eyes and rubbing his forehead, "he couldn't be."

"Could," Jack retorted.

"Not."

"Could."

"Not."

"Could!"

"Not."

"Could could could!"

"He is not alive on this earth, Jack!" Daniel finally said. He could feel a headache forming, as one inevitably did when he got into these kinds of arguments with Jack. "There is no evidence to contradict his death."

"But what about on another planet?" Jack asked, tone cajolling. In truth, he didn't really care, but he loved to bicker with Daniel over anything. Seeing Daniel's eyes sparkle when he debated, his passion written in his face and movements—poetry in motion.

"What, the Asguard beamed him up and he's now teaching disco music and hip gyrations on some distant Asguard homeworld?" Daniel scoffed. "Come on, Jack. That's ridiculous."

Whatever Jack was going to say, Daniel never knew, for at that moment a blinding white light flashed and dissipated. Daniel rubbed the spots from his eyes and sighed. That was definitely a headache pounding between his temples.

He'd better call Hammond and tell him the Asguard had come visiting.

Meanwhile, in orbit around the Earth…

"That's exactly what happened!" Jack cried before his brain caught up with his mouth. When it did, he shut up abruptly. He was no longer in his living room, and Daniel was no longer scowling at him.

"O'Neill?" The voice sounded questioning, insofar as an Asguard can sound questioning.

Jack looked down, and blinked. "Thor, buddy, great to see ya."

"You as well, O'Neill," Thor replied gravely.

"You think you can clear something up for me?" Jack asked.

"I will try," the little grey alien said.

"So me'n Daniel were talking. He thinks Elvis died. I don't. What do you think happened?" Jack explained.

"Are you refering to Elvis Presley?" Thor asked.

"One and only."

"I have met Elvis," Thor began. "He is currently enjoying an active life, instructing a small sect of Asguard in the lost arts of singing and dancing on one of our homeworlds."
