Rory Gilmore had always thought that if she was walking down the aisle on her wedding day and her groom did not have on a face that resembled some form of adoration, she would turn around and walk straight out of the church, go to a diner, and order a hamburger. If her groom knew her, he would know where to find her.
Luckily, she didn't have this problem.
On her way down the aisle, she didn't even notice the pews filled with everyone she knows except for her mom to her left, and her husband-to-be, to the right. Their eyes lock, and Rory is thoroughly satisfied by the look on his face. He is scared. Terrified, even. However, the most prominent emotion projecting, spilling, bubbling out of him was pure, unaltered adoration. She glided down the aisle after her mother, kissed Luke on the cheek, and took her place in front of Logan. He reached out and her her hands, soothingly rubbing his thumbs over her backs of her hands, more for him than her.
"You ready, Huntzburger?" Her voice shook audibly through her whisper. She was nervous, too.
A moment's pause. He shrugged, shaking his head in disbelief. He, Logan Huntzburger, married. Wow. He nodded.
The ceremony preceded. Much to the chagrin of Lorelai, they had agreed to use traditional vows, as a concession made to Emily in order to get her to stop whining about not being allowed to plan anything.
But Logan was never one for a plan. "I, Logan Huntzburger… yeah, screw it. Rory, you took a chance on me once, four years ago. You had absolutely no reason to trust me, no reason to care about me at all but you did anyway. And I just want you to know that I don't feel like I'm taking a chance here, now. I have no doubt in my mind that we will be together for the rest of our lives. I want to be there for you like you've been there for me since I met you. And that isn't a chance. So I guess, what I'm trying to say, is…
"You jump, I jump, Jack."
