"Dearly beloved we've gathered here today to join these two in holy matrimony…", the priest went on, but all Dudley Dursley could focus on was his beautiful, soon to be wife, standing by his side at the altar.
"If anyone has any objection to why these two should not be wed, may them speak now or forever hold their peace". The room went silent, and all that could be heard was a loud sobbing. Dudley was still surprised his parents had decided to show, let's just say they weren't really pleased with their son marrying a witch. But Dudley could not care the least. No, all he had to do was glance at his wife's thrilled and tearful expression to ensure himself he had done the right thing. He loved her. And that was all that mattered. Some people had said earlier on that she was "out of his league". That may be, but he knew for sure that she loved him just as much as he loved her. He could see it in her eyes. In her smile. In everything she did really. And he was positive that his love was not that easy to conceal either. Nor would he want to.
"I know pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss…", and with those words said, the priest looked up and watched them lean in close to press their lips against each other.
Applause were heard all around them, but they were too swept away by an unexplainable feeling of happiness to care.
Finally they turned to look at the crowd. Gently Dudley took his wife's hand and lead her down the aisle. When they reached the large wooden doors of the church, Dudley leaned in to kiss his wife one more time.
"I love you", he whispered.
"I love you too", she whispered back.
"Hey, get your arses down here, my mom wants me home in time for lunch", Stan Shunpike yelled a bit irritated, leaning against a car nearby.
"ALRIGHT", Dudley responded angrily "why did we hire him, again?"
"Short notice", Dudley's wife said with a shrug "we did hurry to the altar pretty quickly".
"I didn't want to wait another minute to make you all mine", Dudley smiled.
"I didn't wanna wait eith…"
"Hey!"
"WE'RE COMING"
The last song was now playing and Petunia and Vernon were slowly settling to the fact that their son was now legally wedded to a witch and nothing they said was going to change that. They didn't like it. But the thought of cutting Dudley completely out of their life was too horrible to even think about. They couldn't imagine living without their Duddykins.
"Cho…", Dudley mumbled in his wife's ear at the end of the song, as he let go of her waist. "You haven't asked Harry to dance", he said it playfully, but as soon as Harry Potters name was mentioned, a blush creped upon Cho's cheeks and lingered there for a while. She swung around so Harry came into view a few feet away standing awkwardly, staring at his cousin and ex girlfriend while Ginny Weasley played with his hair from behind.
"I think he's preoccupied with someone else", she mumbled, turning her gaze to her husband "but who cares, I've got my man", she smiled.
"I love you, Cho"
"I love you, Dudley"
They kissed.
"And as soon as I get you home I…"
"Bloody hell, what's wrong with this thing!"
"Stanley, I don't think your supposed to…", the rest was cut short by the sound of champagne flooding the floor, and a loud POP indicating that the cork was now flying through the air.
"Look out!", Dudley shouted, pulling his wife away from the danger zone. Shortly after a loud cracking sound was heard and there on the ground lay all of Petunias fine china scattered and in pieces.
"Let's go now", Cho suggested.
"I'll get our jackets"
A/N: Well J.K Rowling did say that Cho married a muggle, this is a take on that.
I know it's short but this is all my brain will allow me to write at the moment, it's picky that way.
