Jeff stood there in awe. Britta just announced in front of everyone she loved him, he wasn't quite sure how to process it just yet. Britta looked so scared standing up there on that stage and he willed his body to move but it just wouldn't.

"Say something!" Starburns yelled at him.

Jeff shot him a death glare which made him cower.

Britta grew more and more worried with each passing minute that Jeff didn't say anything, so she did the only thing she knew how to do, she ran. She handed the microphone to the Dean and ran out of the cafeteria.

"Britta!" Shirley called but it fell on deaf ears.

Troy laid a comforting hand on the older woman's shoulders as he saw how unhappy she was.

Jeff looked towards Slater one last time before heading off in the direction Britta just exited from.

Slater's mouth dropped open as she witnessed this, "you made a big mistake buddy!"

Shirley walked towards her eyes full of anger; Slater took a few steps back to avoid the angry house wife.

"Britta wait," Jeff called!

Britta wiped her eyes as she stopped and waited for Jeff to catch up.

"Will you please look at me," he pleaded.

Britta slowly turned around and looked up at him "go ahead and say it."

Jeff looked confused, "say what?"

"That you only love me as a friend and I'm the worst," Britta said as fresh tears began to well up in her eyes. She turned around so Jeff wouldn't see.

Jeff stepped forward and placed his hands on her biceps urging her to turn around, "that's not what I was going to say."

It was Britta's turn to look confused.

Jeff smiled as he stepped closer, "I was going to say I love you too."

Britta's mouth dropped open at his confession. "You do?"

Jeff smirked, "you're the perfect girl for me and I didn't spend a whole year in that dreaded study group for nothing," he joked.

Britta laughed as she stepped closer and placed her hands on his arms.

"I love you Britta Perry."

"I love you too Jeff Winger."

Jeff grinned as he pulled Britta into a passionate kiss; they only broke apart when they heard someone clear their throat behind them. They both pulled apart and smiled before turning towards the source of the interruption.

"Annie," Britta greeted with a nod.

"I thought you left?" Jeff asked.

Annie frowned, "I belong here at Greendale."

Jeff and Britta smiled as they each took turns hugging the younger girl.

"So what's all this?" Annie asked with a smirk.

"I told Jeff I loved him," Britta told her with a smile.

"And I love her," Jeff finished off with a grin.

"Oh my God guys that is so great!" Annie yelled.

Britta and Jeff jumped at the girl's enthusiasm.

"Sorry," Annie mumbled.

Britta and Jeff laughed as they each took on of Annie's hands and dragged her inside for the rest of the dance.
