Note: This is "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell told in General Zaroff's point of view as a journal. "The Most Dangerous Game" is a short story that can be found on the Internet.
I don't own "The Most Dangerous Game" or it's characters or it's website or anything else come to think of it…
Anyways, enjoy :)
Day 1: Before Hunt
It was quite a stroke of good luck when Mr. Rainsford showed up on my island. In fact, I couldn't have asked for something better. You see, over the past few days there has been a familiar tugging in the back of my mind – that dreadful feeling of boredom.
For a while after hunting my new species I felt alive, I was faced with a new challenge instead of those bumbling old boars I always hunt. However, as the time went on my fellow homo sapiens were no better than the boars. Really, the second I let my hunt free, they either ran into quicksand or fell off a ledge.
As you can see I expected a great deal from Mr. Rainsford. Even if the prey did not smarten up, at least him and I would have an amusing hunt. Unfortunately, dear Mr. Rainsford has taken on some ridiculous new morals and has refused to hunt with me. So I will have to hunt him. Very well.
Day 1: After Hunt
Excellent! Mr. Rainsford has a few tricks up his sleeve, A Malay Man catcher…I am impressed. However it is impossible to win against me, I always capture my prey, always. Still, I'd like to see what other surprises will come of Mr. Rainsford. I'll pursue him for the next few days but, oh my, such a shame he's have to die.
Day 2: After Hunt
That Mr. Rainsford. I have made no mistake of hunting him. Although, he has cost me be best dog…and Ivan, thought it's hard to tell them apart at times. I have had an amusing couple of days. Pity Mr. Rainsford fell into the sea…He would have made a prize hunt.
Later that Evening…
How cunning of Mr. Rainsford to have to have hidden in my own quarters. Ah, he wishes to duel, reminds me of that stubborn Cape buffalo I once took on…and killed. Well now, this should be easy…
Another note (I just realized the notes are almost as long as the story itself…): I hope you liked it! I really recommend reading "The Most Dangerous Game" and then ahem> what I wrote too… Please review, I want to know the good and the bad. That's all, bye!
