Chapter 1
I just couldn't wrap my mind around what was happening. First Amy had died in a Walker ambush, now of all things Andrea had been taken by a group of looters. No scratch that, a bunch of damn worthless human trash. I was still contemplating what to do when Rick approached, "Dale, I'm sorry that we let them take Andrea from us."
"Sorry! You're sorry! You did nothing when they grabbed her, you were to damn busy running to your wife!"
"Dale I had to make sure that Lori and Carl were all right they are my family."
"Yeah that's right! Family comes first! Oh wait I forgot, Andrea's only family was killed while you were busy going on a trip to get your guns from the city!"
"Dale if there was something….."
"Don't Rick, just don't. I've stuck by all your decisions and backed you up Dale decided it was time to give it a rest and think on it some more tomorrow.
Sleep did not come that night. Any time I managed to doze off images of Andrea being tortured or killed kept running through my mind. That day nothing was the same around camp. Andrea was missing and some new kid that stumbled into our camp walked into some Walkers in the woods. I was a little ashamed that I didn't take the time to learn his name, but nowadays you can't expect people to live very long. Rick was keeping his distance and Shane couldn't even look at Dale. I didn't think anyone would bother me today when i heard a familiar voice from behind,"Hey Dale, How are you today."
"What do u want Glenn."
"I just wanted to bring you some water and a bite to eat."
"Thanks but I'm not hungry."
"Dale I know you're angry about Andrea but you're not going to help her by starving yourself."
"Just leave it on the table."
"Dale…"
"Good-bye Glenn."
The rest of the day went by as normal as the rest. Glenn was following Maggie around; Darryl was out looking for Sophia again; Rick, as always, was with Lori and Carl. The only person I didn't see was Shane. Wait a minute, Shane that dumb ass, run in guns blazing; ass hole would know exactly what to do.
