"I'm going to be away from the guild for a couple weeks," Lucy said grasping the door handle of her apartment room. "I need to train. I want to practice using stardress a bit more."

"Wait hold on!" Natsu said as he ran to the space between Lucy and the door.

Lucy stopped to listen to whatever it was he had to say. After waiting for a few moments with no response she pushed him out of the way and opened the door. She was only able to take one step before Natsu rushed in front of her again.

"We're a team, we should train together!" he urged, "Besides, what if you got hurt? Or you get attacked by someone and no one's there to help you?"

Lucy stopped and shot a quick glare at Natsu. "Says the one that disappeared for a whole year and only left a note," Lucy snapped. "And I won't be alone, I'll have my spirits with me. If someone were to attack me Loke would come to help me, you know that," she finished a condescending tone.

She was about to continue her lecture when she noticed the way Natsu was looking at her. He almost looked...angry. No, angry wasn't the right word. He had his head tilted downwards and his eyes cast aside. Almost as if-

"Wait a minute...are you jealous?" Lucy held back a laugh. "Loke's my spirit. He doesn't age remember? You're my partner but I still need some time to make myself stronger."

"I'm not jealous of Loke," Natsu grunted while folding his arms across his chest.

"Right," Lucy mocked, extending the sound of the 'i'.

"You'll be back soon though right?" Natsu asked. Lucy nodded.

"Just like I said, I'll only be gone a week. Then we can go on a mission together afterwards, okay?"

"Fine," Natsu said. He'd just have to deal with her being with that playboy for the next week. If he dared try to make a move on his Lucy, he'd be there in an instant. But Loke would know this, so Natsu wasn't that worried. They were still partners after all.
