Dark Feelings
She sighed as the rain poured outside her window.
It seemed like today was also a no show.
Her heart was crazy, but her mind was collected.
Despite this, she fought the feeling of being neglected.
'He made a promise.' she would think,
Yet her heart would sink.
Because the very next day she walked out,
She saw him with a girl, filling her doubt.
She turned around, embarrassed, filled with shame-
However, she wasn't one to blame.
Hearing the girl's teasing and sultry laugh,
She prayed that she took good care of him on her behalf.
That night she was clouded with temptation,
Filled with poison due to her frustration.
Not even realizing love was pounding on her door,
Before it exploded, wanting to explore.
She laughed at it, eyes filled with mistrust.
"I can't believe I gave you my trust."
Love beat slower as she moved to hurl,
"Why don't you reside in that girl?"
She gave no time for Love to act clearly,
Her mind had gone haywire, damaging everything severely.
Her eyes were expressive, with misery and rage.
"Was it all just a play?"
Love just beat faster as it denied,
And the next day she woke up, feeling empty inside.
Only to notice him beside her, his heartbeat slow.
"You know my love for you will never go."
He felt her doubt and he gave her a solid promise,
Papers for a union set the next week: in August.
