The woman at his side curled closer in her sleep and immediately he felt warmth flow over him, calming his stressed senses.
He smiled.
He hadn't been this happy in a long time, not since he'd gotten exposed to the gamma radiation that changed his life.
Meeting her, Kagome, changed him for the better.
Her power, ki she called it, had the ability to calm the other guy within him.
She was a miko, a Shinto priestess, if his research was correct.
He had never believed in such things before.
But that was before he fell in love with her.
