Kurt and Blaine sat across from each other at the coffee shop. They had been coming here together ever since they started dating, 2 weeks and many coffee non-dates after they first actually met in person. Of course Kurt had been going here ever since he and Rachel had moved here 5 years ago. Blaine however had only started going here after Kurt's missions had started. Blaine looked across at Kurt worried. What if it wasn't the right time? What if he said no? What if he just laughed at me and walked away? None of these would happen and Blaine knew it, but that didn't stop him from worrying. What if he doesn't remember? This was his real worry, it had been over two years from the time when they first started texting. What if Kurt didn't catch on and his plan went horribly wrong? The two of them had been sitting in silence for a few moments now, just watching the people in the park pass by. Now or never, Blaine thought. He pulled out his phone, quickly glancing at Kurt before typing out a quick message that will forever be ingrained in his memory.
(2:33 pm)
Hey, would you mind meeting me at 4 instead of 3? A dog just threw up on me (no, really) and I have to make a detour.
Kurt's phone buzzed across from him, he watched anxiously as a confused look appeared on his boyfriends face. Kurt looked up at him wondering, then in a moment of realization he laughed and replied.
(2:35)
a) Who is this? and b) Why do we have a meeting? and c) How does that even happen? Mostly a) though.
Blaine sighed in relief as he read the reply. Kurt had remembered. Blaine shot a look at Kurt, who still had a slightly questioning look on his face, and composed a quick text.
(2:36)
Actually, I have a question for you.
Kurt picked up his phone even more confused now then he was before.
(2:36)
Alright. Should I be worried?
(2:37)
Don't you trust me?
Kurt laughed as he read it, usually he was the one saying that.
(2:38)
Are we staring up the missions again?
Blaine had to think before replying. Not sure how to answer.
(2:39)
You could think of it like that, but I hadn't.
As he read the text Kurt became both increasingly confused and intrigued.
(2:40)
I'm intrigued, you have my full attention. What's your question?
Blaine's nervousness came back ten fold. His hands shook as he typed out the most important question of his life.
(2:41)
Kurt, I've loved you from before we met. I think I loved you for longer then I would care to admit. And I want to be with you forever, will you marry me?
Kurt's eyes widened as he read the text. He read it three times to make sure what his brain was telling him it said is what it actually said. When he went to look at Blaine he wasn't sitting across from him but instead on one knee next to their booth. Blaine pulled a small velvet box out of the back pocket of his jeans. He opened it reveling a polished silver band with a small slit in the middle the held a single diamond in place. It was simple yet very Kurt at the same time. Kurt's eyes filled with tears as he stared down at Blaine.
"Well?" Blaine said becoming worried at Kurt's reaction.
"Yes, yes! Of course yes!" Kurt cried, he pulled Blaine up as he stood. First pulling him into a hug, then bringing his hands up to Blaine's face and pulling him into a kiss. It was short, but filled with so much love. Blaine pulled back, ignoring the cheers coming from the people round them, and slid the band on to Kurt's finger. They were both crying as the cheers and whistles of the coffee shop died out.
I would love if you guys could review! That would be awesome, I know this is short but I couldn't get the idea out of my head. Kurt's ring looks like this: paolalovesme[.]tumblr[.]com/post/21415926838
