Smile.
Note~ I do not own Naruto…this popped when I was looking out my window.
Enjoy.
A girl with long blue hair sat quietly on a hard, cold wooden bench, sighing quietly but no one to hear.
Around her is a scene so beautiful, only an artist with an amazing talent could capture this beauty.
Sakura cherry blossoms fell slowly, some falling on to the girl.
The girl caught a flower in her hand and twirled it mindlessly.
She sighed and silently cursed at the flower for its beauty she wish to have.
The name and beauty reminded her of someone she knew, Sakura Haruno.
Few days before, she remembered, she saw a couple in front of her but far away. As the shy creature she is, she hid behind a building, afraid to ruin a moment precious to the couple.
What she didn't expect and surprisingly was that the couple was Sakura and Naruto. They smiling and laughing, then Naruto lift up Sakura and spun her around. Giggles erupt in the air.
"Naruto…," she whispered, she quickly ran home.
She shed a tear at that day.
But now…
A tear fell slowly down her cheek, falling down to the ground, to the dirty ground, dirty and ugly…
'Just like me,' she thought.
Twirling the flower that is still in her hand, she thought sadly of the few days of heartbreak.
Unknown to her, a man with black hair, resemblance close to Sasuke Uchiha, lift up his paint brush and canvas.
He looked around for inspiration…
but found none.
So as silent as the ninja he is, he adventure here and there.
He glanced around his surroundings until his eyes caught a breath taking sight.
'Perfect,' he thought.
What caught his eyes was the Sakura tree, he sat down and began his work.
His brush dipped into a brilliant shade of pink and red, stoked on the canvas, almost like the paint brush dancing. Many would say, 'He has talent'. In truth, he does have talent but he does not consider it, he consider it as practice and his passion. His passion is what made him so skilled of this talent.
The canvas is struck with details and texture, defined on the board. Resembling the real thing.
He looked up every once in a while to pick up missing detail but then he caught a distress girl, hovered by the tree.
"A beautiful girl, in a beautiful scene," he smiled.
He adds in the girl amplifying the beauty of the scene.
Her a skin a creamy coat of peach, her hair shade a dark color of midnight blue, and her smile…
"There isn't a smile," he frowned.
A stroke with his brush and the scene was done.
Still frowning, he wondered why must the midnight haired beauty be sad.
Walking toward the scene he just painted, he thought casually,
'In the book, its best to talk things out to release bad feelings.'
The dark haired girl hoped the flowers would brush some of its beauty on her. Instead, another thought crushed that hope…
'I might've brushed my ugliness on to it.'
Then light footsteps was heard.
The girl looked up to see a handsome boy, slightly oddly dressed, and an emotionless face.
The scene is now complete, a breath taking background, a beautiful girl, and a handsome boy.
"How does sadness feel?" his strange way of asking is soft, not cruel but emotionless.
"It feels like pain," she replied, not offended.
"Then, what is pain?" he questioned.
'What is pain?' she thought, 'Is it losing Naruto?'
'…but I'm not really losing him…I still have a great friendship with him…,'she suddenly realized.
"Smile," he said, as he handed the canvas to her.
The girl's eyes widened as she looked at the painting in amazement.
A cherry blossom tree with a beautiful girl with dark hair…smiling.
"Smile," he said once again, "because your beauty is the worth to be painted."
The girl blink at his words while he walked away.
Fading away with the cherry blossom that was in her hand.
The girl's lips quirked up just a little.
