Author's Note: This is something I'm thinking of pursuing in leiu of Both Eyes Open. At least for the moment. That plot bunny has scampered off into the woods, so to speak. Please let me know if you think I should continue with this one. I have a different Harry/Draco which is much further along that this, but I like this one better. It may end up being meshed into one story, if I can figure out a way to do that seamlessly.. Feedback is appreciated, and very much encouraged :)

As always, characters and familiar places/events/etc. are property of JK Rowling, Warner Bros., Bloomsbury yadda yadda... basically, I own nothing except my imagination. And even that is sketchy sometimes...

To live is to love, and to love is to give someone the power to destroy you, yet trusting them not to. For Harry, he couldn't live without love. It was what had saved him all those years ago while he was helpless in his crib. It was what prevented Voldemort from possessing him the night Sirius fell through the veil. Throughout his entire childhood Harry had felt unloved, and that feeling nearly devoured him whole. It wasn't until he started at Hogwarts and found his place in the world when he realized what love truly was. He learnt that his parents had died for him, selflessly putting themselves between the Dark Lord and Harry. Loving him until their last strangled breath. It was love that burned Quirrell while trying to get the Philosopher's stone. Every battle against dark forces Harry had won, love had been a major factor.

So for Harry to wake up one day, and realize that he didn't love his wife? Well, that just couldn't be. Of course he loved Ginny. She was there for him through everything after the war. She gave him three wonderful children. Anything Harry ever asked for, she would find a way to give it to him. Ginny worked around the clock to keep their family running smoothly while Harry took a leave of absence from the Ministry. How could he not love her after everything?

Quite simply put, she wasn't a sarcastic, blond male, who did everything in his power to make Harry's life miserable.
