Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Heyyo. You can read this story if you want; honestly, it's very brief and definitely not my best work, I just wanted to write and post. Write and post, write and post, write and post.
Otherwise, I'd probably find another new hobby that will consume up my time and energy and forget about any and all of my projects on here all together. As much as I love writing and reading fics, that's just how I operate.
Yet another songfic, this song has been in my head for the past few weeks. Whether it fits or not, I wanted to include it. Maybe you'll find a symbolic meaning in the lyrics. And when you do, let me know so I can pretend like that was my intention.
Forever Young – Alphaville
As his fingers deftly ran themselves along her back, light tingles tickled her spine–pleasant, fluttering tingles. Not a word was said; not a sound was made... only two people, their wonderfully unclothed bodies lying beside each other underneath the protection of silk sheets and blanket... basking in the peaceful post-lovemaking silence and the ambience of soft candlelight.
"Tea?" said the handsome young pharaoh.
"Yes?" asked the fair brunette, facing away from him, eyes closed and mind at ease.
"I love you very, very much."
Let's dance in style, let's dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst
Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?
But all Atem could hear was faint mumbling from the weary voice of Tea Gardner, the girl he truly loved with all his heart.
"Hmm?" he asked, as his thumb stroked the back of her right shoulder. Tea rolled on her left side towards him; now their bodies were flush against each other–their bare thighs touching; their ankles locked together, her head nestled comfortably in the curve of his neck and shoulder.
"I said that I love you too, silly." A soft giggle left her throat.
Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power, but we never say never
Sitting in a sand-pit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sad men.
Atem slid his right arm over her waist-area on top of the covers, holding her in a tight, loving embrace, while leaning his head delicately against hers. She took in his scent, his wonderful scent that was only his.
"Good. That means no mistakes were made tonight."
Tea heaved a loud sigh. "Oh Atem... nothing is a mistake with you. It was destiny that brought us together, wasn't it?"
Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn our golden faces into the sun
Praising our leaders we're getting in tune
The music's played by the madman
A pair of soft lips appeared at her forehead. "If it was destiny that brought you to me, my love, then I am forever in its debt."
As the pair gave away to heavy slumber, the dwindling yellow-orange glow faded away to darkness, enabling the moon to shine its fullest glorious radiance upon the young couple.
Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever, forever
Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever young...
I know, I know. So short and dissatisfying. Sorry. Will go back to working on the movie now.
Two things:
-Check out my [Revolutionshipping] forum!
-I have a deviantart account, "pleasenoyaoi". You can find me if you want; I don't draw or anything, but I do post updates on these stories – like future works in the making, what I'm currently working on, my thoughts on whatever fic-related nonsense, and just some Yu-Gi-Oh stuff in general. Maybe I will post little teasers or something.
