It all started on a warm summer day at the Royal Wonder Academy. There was a special summer long event known for bug catching. Whoever got the most bugs would win(and rarity counts for points) and they decided to turn this into a family event. All members of your family need to have caught 5 different bugs each for the collection and Mother and Father weren't going to stop at 5.

That's why the 4 of us were in the forest, looking for new bugs.

"HIYAH!"I shouted as I swung the net forward to catch the bug on the tree but it flew away.

"I always miss!" I shouted again towards Rein, who was stalking a Walking Stick bug on the floor.

"You're too loud that's why." she whispered as she continued to follow it.

I sighed before spotting a small black beetle on a tree. I took Rein's advice and quietly walked towards the tree, net ready to catch the bug. I leaned back to catch it when suddenly, a shout echoed through the forest.

"I CAUGHT IT!WHOA!"

I jumped up and fell back as the bug flew away. I turned to the tree behind me and I saw Father standing under it with a panicked expression. I looked up in the branches and saw Mother, hanging upside down by one leg, clutching something tightly in her hands.

I ran to the tree and dropped my net to help Father catch Mother if she fell.

"Grab on to the branch!"Father shouted.

"No! I found this weird bug and if I let go, I'll lose it!"

"If you don't let go, you'll lose your life!"

Mother glared when suddenly, her leg began to slip.

"Uh-oh…"

Mother fell and if Father and I hadn't jumped under her together, she would have fell on the floor. But, when we caught her, her hands unclasped and the bug tried to fly off. When I saw it, I watched in amazement. It was a glowing cicada bug.

"We have to catch that!"I screamed and, since Rein,Mother and Father had seen it glow too, they agreed and ran along with me to catch it.

We tangled up with each other, trying to catch it and we ended up deeper into the forest when suddenly we reached a clearing. Mother, Rein, and I stopped and looked around in amazement but Father kept stumbling forward until he swung his net and caught the cicada.

"I got it!" he shouted happily before he decided to look around.

"What is this place?"

We all walked together to the large tree in the center of the clearing to a strange object underneath. It looked like an antique gumball machine with strange circular capsules inside.

"This looks old,"I began," Was this something from when you and Mother were kids, Father?"

Father gave me a scowl for calling him and Mother old while Mother brushed it off and moved closer.

"It looks like a gumball machine."

Mother put her hand in her pocket and pulled out a quarter and put it into the machine. She turned it and finally a capsule came out. We all leaned forward as she picked it up and tried to open it. When she couldn't, she handed it to Father who twisted and turned it until it opened with a very bright light. We all fell back, blinded when suddenly, we heard a voice.

"Gracious me, it is quite uncomfortable in there!"

We all opened our eyes to see a white ghost-like creature with a black oval over its eyes and a purple mouth...wait a minute! That's a…!

"GHOST!"
