Title: People Always Leave
Author: Shelby Lewis or SimplyShelbySJL
Summary:It was harsh, cold, and above all things the truest fact Blair Waldorf had ever known. She had learned it throughout her life time and time again. If Blair Waldorf loved you the universe gave you no other option, but to leave her, breaking her heart each time. (Blair's POV after the end of 2x13 Spoilers! C/B)
Disclaimer: Ed Westwick has sadly not come to me and asked my hand in marriage, no word from Chace either. So yes I do not own Gossip Girl, if I did I would be writing script's for episodes instead of fanfiction. However maybe one day he'll come to his senses, but for now I write for you lovely fanfiction readers.
A/N: 2X13 was so touching and I couldn't resist. I love Chuck and Blair more than any other couple on the show and I feel they both felt so much heartbreak on the last episode I was inspired. Please review if you think it was any good.
It was harsh, cold, and above all things the truest fact Blair Waldorf had ever known. She had learned it throughout her life time and time again. If Blair Waldorf loved you the universe gave you no other option, but to leave her, breaking her heart each time. She learned this at a young age when her father left her and her mother. Sure Dorota and Serena told her time and time again he didn't leave her, only her mother, but he did. She had loved her father so much, perhaps even more than her mother and he had left her.
Blair then soon discovered the day her father left, so did her mother. Sure she stayed there physically since one of them had to take little Blair, but mentally she was gone. Blair wasn't even there unless it was for her mother to criticize. Eleanor barely looked Blair in the eye and spent every minute she could at work and leaving Blair alone at home with Dorota, but she was payed to stay with her so she didn't count.
Serena was the next to leave. Blair had loved her more than any best friend in history could have. She had even thought they were sisters in a past life and in a way they were. Then Serena betrayed and left. Sure she came back, but Blair often wondered if it was only out of guilt. With Serena leaving came the exit of Nate Archibald. The man she had planned to marry since about birth, he seemed to have other plans. She loved him and refused to even look at other boys for all those years she remained faithful and idolized his every move, but he still left.
Through it all one person stayed with her though and she thought she would have him forever. They developed a friendship in grade school since hanging from the monkey bars with Nate and Serena wasn't quite their style. In middle school they became feared, always scheming at anyone and everyone they disliked. In high school they became lovers, and then her biggest mistake she fell in love with him. She thought maybe things would be okay when he told her maybe someday in the future, but of course the evil ways of the universe came down again killing his father. This made Blair feel guilty maybe if she hadn't gotten close this wouldn't have happened. She was tricked again when he showed up in her bedroom and she held him until they fell asleep. She dreamed that night that he didn't leave and that it was different this time, but it wasn't. She woke up to find a note from him saying he was sorry, she deserved better, and to not look for him. She laughed bitterly when she read it a few bottles of Vodka later. Didn't he realize he was the best until he left. Now he was gone, he had left her and told her not to come looking for him. Just like everyone else as soon as she felt love for Chuck Bass he was gone.
People Always Leave.
