So I rewrote some of this because it honestly bothered me so much to read it, but to be fair, it was already so bad - there wasn't a lot I could do with it. I'm probably still not finishing it, just updating chapters cause I'm a literal garbage can. Sorry guys. Still the worst. Also, I have a chapter that got messed up completely (It's the one where they play dare) because a document was uploaded incorrectly. I don't remember everything that happened and I switched laptops... so I don't know what I'm going to do about that.

Chapter 1; The Bet

"No, no, no," Hermione pointed a finger to the third question on Ginny's Defense work. "Red caps are-"

The door to the sixth year dormitory opened, spilling in Parvati and Lavender in a fit of giggles, the whispers between the two halting as soon as they realized they weren't alone.

Ginny and Hermione looked up from their homework for only a moment before turning back with only the briefest acknowledgements that they'd even seen the two.

Lavender sniffed and marched over to her bed, leaning over to the small pile of items atop her trunk and dragging a quill and piece of parchment up to her, scribbling a note, and then passing it to Parvati.

Hermione took a deep breath, attempting to ignore the loud peals of laughter, and she shook her head at Ginny when it looked like the redhead was going to say something, but it was in vain.

"You realize we are studying, yes?" She huffed.

Lavender looked up, eyes wide as she shared a glance with Parvati before looking back to the younger year. "Yes."

"So you just don't care that you're being obnoxious?"

"Ginny-"

"Excuse me, but this is our dorm," the blonde narrowed her eyes. "If you're concentrating so hard a little fun ruins your focus, maybe you should study in the library."

"Oh, please Lavender," Hermione rolled her eyes. "Even you know the library is closed."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Parvati gaped.

"Exactly what it sounded like," Ginny fired back. "Not like the two of you were giggling about the twelve uses of dragon's blood... more like the twelve uses of your index fin-"

"Ginny!" Hermione interrupted, slightly red in the face.

"You can roll your eyes all you want, but everyone knows you're just jealous because I get more guys then you two put together," Lavender scoffed.

"Plenty of guys like me and 'Mione," she argued, ignoring the raised eyebrow from Hermione's end of the bed. "We have more to offer than our shade of eye shadow."

"Are you calling me stupid?"

"Look Gin, she's halfway there," Hermione said, surprising even herself with the remark. It wasn't the first time the roommates had gotten into a disagreement of this sort before, but the last time, Hermione stood alone. It wasn't fun to be on the losing side of a disagreement.

Parvati glowered at the bookworm. "You little bi-"

Ginny pulled out her wand before Lavender could finish her insult, but Hermione stopped her.

"Gin, don't. She won't get in trouble if you make her go bald. You will." Ginny nodded while Parvati desperately grasped her braid, as if reassuring it was still there.

Ginny shook her head, "I don't know why you say you get so many guys when I personally saw Justin and Ernie turn you down," then, as an after thought,"On the same day."

Lavender frowned, glancing at her best friend for support, but Hermione was quick to add, "I saw that you were so desperate you asked out the most ferret-y of all the Slytherins, Parvati. Pretty low for a Gryffindor."

"Ewww! Malfoy? Don't make me retch!" Ginny giggled, clutching her sides at the image of Parvati kissing a white haired ferret.

"I bet more guys like us than they like you!"

The words caused Ginny to stop laughing and smile mischievously. "Do you?" She asked, slowly. "What are you willing to bet?"

The girls were quiet before Parvati inhaled, excitedly. "I have an idea!" Parvati perked up, "Loser goes bald for a whole week, and no hats will be allowed."

Lavender frowned, and Ginny smiled. "You look worried Lavender. Afraid you're going to lose?"

Lavender smirked, "I won't even have to try."

"Great. So, it'll be me and 'Mione vs. you girls!"

"Hold on!" Hermione stood, "There's no way I'm participating! Gambling like this is against school rules. I'm a prefect, for Merlin's sake!"

Ginny frowned and whined, "You have to! Most guys to like a pair wins, and honey you've got all the required equipment!"

Lavender smirked. "Let's just hope it's all in working condition. You'll need all the help you can get."

Hermione opened her mouth, but this time, Ginny held up a hand to stop them. "Alright. I know where to go to get what we need. We'll meet tomorrow. Midnight."
