Maddie was angry.
Very,
Very,
Very
Angry.
"How could he forget me about me?" she thought. "There's only one thing on the mind of that man. Ghosts, or more specifically Danny Phantom. Not that I blame him. I don't like that creepy ghost either, but he's taking it too far. He doesn't even remember what time it is! No, this time I'm leaving, for good!" Maddie stood up and stormed out of the room, down the hall and out the front door. She went down the driveway and was about to leave the yard when the memories hit her.
Good memories, memories of the times they had together; sitting on the couch watching TV, playing board games, sitting and thinking of ways to get Phantom.
"No," she thought. "I can't leave him." She marched back into the house.
"I need to confront him," she thought as she walked into the house.
"Now where would he be? Not in the kitchen, in the living room? Nope." Maddie stopped for a few seconds to think. "Of course, the lab! He's always down there working on something." Maddie walked down the stairs and into the lab where she found him sitting in front of the ghost portal tinkering on one of his inventions. She always wondered what it was like on the other side of the portal but she knew how dangerous it could be and, as the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat. She turned her attention back to the man in front of her.
"Hmm, perhaps I can remind him what time it is?" she thought. She walked over to him and made a sound to alert him of her presence. He looked up.
"Maddie?" he said. "What is it?" She stared at him.
"Did you see what I invented?" he asked. More staring.
"I'm forgetting something aren't I?" he said. Maddie glared at him.
"You're darn right you're forgetting something." she thought but didn't say anything. "No need to get vocal yet."
"Hold on let me think." He paused for a minute. "Nope can't think of it. Sorry." Maddie sighed with frustration and turned to walk out of the lab.
"Oh I know!" he said. Maddie turned around hopefully. Did he figure it out? "You want to play a game of chess!" Nope! She glared at him.
"Ok, I get it that's not what you're angry about," he said. He went back to thinking.
"Do you want to watch TV?" he said after a few more seconds. Glare.
"Uh, play a board game?" Glare.
"Ok, I have no idea." Maddie had had enough. She leapt at him snarling.
"Ow!" Vlad yelled. "Maddie that's my foot! Oh! You're hungry. Did I forget feeding time again? I'm so sorry!"
"Meow!" Maddie said, glad he finally got it.
