I do not own the rights to Firefly or Serenity. Would I be writing fanfic if I did?
My buddy April has been helping my writers block by throwing me prompts. This prompt is shorts.

The street was busy with townsfolk bustling about. A small, young woman and a large man walked side by side through the crowd. Separating, the pair nodded at one another and the young woman started doing cartwheels down the middle of the road. All the people turned to watch the lithe young woman gracefully execute flip after cartwheel after gymnastic leap. The large man, however, looked grumpy. He discreetly ran toward the end of the street where the girl was heading. The audience ooh-ed and ah-ed while she flew down the street. No one noticed when she flipped her way into an alley off the main road.
Jayne was there to meet River. He grabbed her leg while she was cart wheeling and held it, causing her to adjust to a sort of handstand. The skirt River was wearing fell around her chest and Jayne growled at the brown lace boy cut panties that the upturned skirt revealed.
"Every man on that street got to see your under things woman!"
River spoke steadily, even though she was still upside down. "Has the definition of diversion changed recently?"
"What ever happened to those black shorts you used to wear?" Jayne asked irritated.
"It was my job to distract the entire gun carrying population so that Captain and Zoƫ could complete the crime portion of the job. I believe I did my assignment with great proficiency," River explained, ignoring his question.
Jayne loosened his grip of River's leg and pushed her to the ground.
"Brat," he mumbled.
