Chapter 1: The call
Ryan's P.o.v:
I couldn't believe what the woman on the phone said to me, I was in shock. I had to be there, I had to be with her. My mind was thinking about her. I ran as fast I could to get out of the frantic care home but not before Mai lee stopped me. Being the nosy person she is, she started asking all these questions that was wasting time, so I continued to run.
As the shrieking of her voice turned into echoes, I reached my destination. St James hospital, that's where they said she was held,. My heart pounded in my chest as I enter the reception. "Alex Cole, where is she?" I breathed out trying to catch my breath. "Are you family?" the receptionist asked rudely, her greasy hair slicked back and with the nose of the size of Jupiter. "I'm the closest thing to family" I spat back. The woman scoffed in disgusted. Just then one nurses spoke up "She's in room 132 sweetheart." giving me a warm smile, giving me hope.
As I trekked through the never ending corridors, shivers went down my spine. I haven't been here since her attempted. As I reached her room I entered with caution to only discover her lead in the hospital with joy in her eyes. "Ry you came" she spoke, hearing her angelic voice made my heart swell "You should never doubt me Al" I croaked, tear welling up in my eyes as I walked up to her, grasping her delicate hand with my own. "What happened, why did they do this" I manage to whisper. I hate seeing her like this so weak and vulnerable. it killed me inside. "The others found out that I was leaving. It was their way of a leaving party." She cried out as I pulled her into my embrace before saying. "Well I'm never leaving you ever again. Do you hear Alex? I love you so much and they will pay for what they've done to you" "Thank you my hero" she said before pulling me into a sweet kiss which was cut short thanks to a very angry Mike.
