Hey guys,

Welcome to my first Stitchers story. I really hope you enjoy it because I enjoyed writing it.

I do not own Stitchers or the characters.

"You won't be able to bring me back this time Stretch." Cameron says as he moves his hands up to try and pry the gun from Kirsten's fingers. "Not this time." He says it like he believes in her, and she can feel that he does. She's felt it ever since she stitched into him, not that he believes in her, because she always knew that, but how much he believes in her.

A single tear rolls down her face as she looks at him. She wants to scream, wants to shout to him to run, wants him to know that this isn't her that is pointing this gun at him.

Its these things inside her. She takes a long gulp looking into his eyes.

"Come on Stretch, it's me. It's Cameron. You know me and I know you. I know you Kirsten and you can fight this. You can do anything. I know because I've seen you do it before over and over again. I know because I…" He makes sure shes listening, their eyes never leaving one another. "I love you Stretch."

Her resolve breaks and the gun hits the floor. Her eyes widen as she looks down at it and then back up to Cameron. "I did it! We did it! Oh Cameron!" She says as she jumps into his arms for a hug. Both of them start laughing in relief as Cameron picks her up of the grown and spins her.

As he sits her back down on the ground they both pull back, both silent for a moment.

"For a second there, I thought you were actually going to shoot me." Cameron says, still smiling. Although they've pulled back neither of them have let go of the others hand.

"So did I," Kirsten admits. "But I knew in the end I wouldn't. I couldn't lose you again."

Cameron nods, remembering the way she had been sprawled over his body, sobbing when he had gotten saved, but then remembers what he said that made her drop the gun.

"Kirsten, about what I said…" Cameron says about to try and cover up what he said, but Kirsten stops him.

"Cameron, its okay." She says and his mouth slaps shut.

"What?" He says.

"Its okay. I mean I almost killed you. You had to say something right?" She says, but looks down away from him. She knows about his feeling for her. Hes even finally told her he had feelings for her. Lately shes been thinking she may feel the same, but Nina came along and shes not sure anymore.

"You don't think I meant it do you?" He asks, realizing that she didn't believe it.

She can't look him in the eye and words have suddenly become very difficult so she just shakes her head.

Cameron can't believe what hes seeing. How could she not know? How could she not realize that's what he mean when he told her head had feelings for her?

He doesn't know how she's so oblivious, because everyone else sure knows. He doesn't say anything else though. He's tired of being scared. So he does the one thing he can at the moment.

He grabs her face, makes sure shes looking at him so she can back away if she wants and leans into kiss her. It's better than he remembers from when she kissed him when she was feeling residual emotions a while ago. It's better than anything hes ever experienced.

They pull away and smile at one another. "Does that answer if I meant it or not?"

Kirsten smiles at him. "I think so." She says as she leans back in.

He doesn't think about the fact that she doesn't say it back to him, not in this moment. That doesn't matter to him at the moment, what does matter to him is that she feels something.

Later, after all of this is over, Cameron will look back and realize that their first real kiss happened after he said I love you the first time. He doesn't think about that though, all that matters is that now he finally is happy. Really truly happy and nothing can take that away.
