STRANGE THINGS
Strange things happen sometimes,
like warm February,
snow in July
and the rainbow over mountains.
Sometimes the sun isn't shining when it should,
sometimes the rain is falling
and freezing at the same moment,
so that only tiny frozen drops fall to the ground.
Sometimes the wind is so strong
that it sways tiles from roofs
and all these old small squares,
covered with ivy, moulder and mass,
are laying in front of your door.
Sometimes the wind actually can
sway me out of my way,
right into your arms
(if you are able to catch me, of course,
before I tumble and fall to the ground,
just as the tiles are falling from our roof).
Sometimes I think you coax the wind
to do whatever you want,
to strip me off my balance
for you to be able to touch me.
Strange things happen sometimes
and now I'm talking about the full moon, of course,
who can transfer people and rip their minds apart,
who can make your eyes shine with fear,
who can make you bleed badly while being bitten,
who can make tears welling in your eyes
when you wake up and can't actually move at all.
Strange things happen sometimes,
when you take care of me
instead of me taking care of you.
I love you, dear,
truly and genuinely
(that sort of cliché
you - and especially you -
can hear everywhere).
But the strange thing is
you love me too
and prove it to me
every single second
of our bound lives.
Oh, yes,
strange things really happen,
sometimes.
