I breathed in, smelling the girls scent on the wind. She was sweet, and utterly irresistible. I can't hear anything but her heartbeat pounding from her exertions.
Who goes hiking alone this far from the trails?
She was bleeding too, not the fresh straight-from-a-wound kind of blood but the hormone soaked blood that only came once a month with a woman's menstrual cycle.
Unfortunately for her, it smelled better than ordinary blood. The burn is irritating my throat now, I need it. Her blood. My muscles tensed as I crouched into a striking position, adjusting myself accordingly so I don't turn her into a smudge when I hit her.
Launching myself into the air, I felt new tension forming in my limbs as I prepared to land. Suddenly something, or rather someone, hit me. Our bodies cracked like thunder upon impact, arms wrapped around mine trapping them. I hit the ground first, snarling and kicking, my attacker landed partially on me. Using his size and weight to keep me down.
"I wont let you slip, Bella"
Jasper.
