Hey there. This is yet another new story. I will try and update my other stories as well as this one as much as I can. Unless life gets in the way. I got the idea of this story from Fluffynz.

It was my first day as a Cheerio. It was my first week of school here and I had made only two friends. Brittany Pierce and Rachel Berry, the school punching bag. Brittany was on the Cheerios with me and Rachel was in glee club with both of us. I was walking down the hall when I heard the laughing. When I rounded the corner I saw Rachel on the floor covered in red dye. Brittany was next to her.

"What happened?" I was pissed.

"Quinn threw a slushy at Rachel and then pushed her." Brittany was scared. That bitch was gonna pay.

"Rachel are you okay?" She nodded. We helped her up and got her to the bathroom to clean her up. When we got done the three of us went straight to Coach Sylvester.

"Come in." We walked in and Coach stopped whatever she was doing. "What do you want Lopez?"

"For starters I want to beat Fabray to a pulp."

"Why?"

"She physically assaulted Rachel." Brittany told her what happened and Coach Sylvester did not look happy.

"Rachel." She looked up. "Is that true?"

"Yes." She said in a small voice.

"Rachel do you feel like you need to go home?" Coach asked. She nodded. "Santana I want you to take her home and keep an eye on her. Here's my key. Brittany you're free to go home after school since you're just as shaken as Rachel is."

"Thank you Coach."

"You're welcome, now Brittany will you go get Rachel's homework for her?" She nodded then left. "Rachel why don't you go to the choir room and work on something that will blow everyone away."

"Okay." She seemed to cheer up at that. She walked out of the room with a smile on her face.

"I want to thank you Santana."

"Why?"

"For being one of Rachel's only friends." She was concerned about something. "Once people find out about the connection between Rachel and I everyone will want to be her friend. I don't want that for her."

"I understand Coach."

"Good." Brittany walked back in at that moment. "Please take her home." I nodded. Taking the small stack from her. I walked out of the office. I was in front of the choir room. I heard her singing her go to song for when she was upset. I went in when she got done.

"Don't you know that song by heart yet Berry?" I said jokingly. I heard her laugh.

"Today was their anniversary." She looked at me with tears in her eyes. "They loved when I sang it for them."

"Well you've never sang it for glee, maybe you could when you feel up to it." I smiled. I loved hearing her sing.

"Do you think you could take me to go see them?"

"Of course." We walked out to my car. I opened the passenger side for her, then I got behind the wheel. "Sue's worried."

"About?"

"About people wanting to be your friend once they find out."

"Oh well she doesn't need to cause I know who my true friends are." She returned the smile from earlier. We pulled up to the cemetery and got out. I followed her to where her fathers were laid to rest. They wanted me to always feel loved. When they died I felt so alone. I was hurt that they wanted to leave me but I knew they didn't want to."

"Is that why Coach Sylvester is your godmother?"

"Yeah. They wanted her because she treated my dads like brothers and would do anything to keep me safe. Even if it meant paying for a house that she doesn't live in."

"I thought she lived with you?" I was confused.

"No. I told her I wanted to live there by myself and she let me. The only thing she does is come over once a week with multiple bags of food and makes dinner."

"She's different than I thought."

"Yeah the way she was earlier is never how she acts at the school unless I'm around." I guess I didn't know my coach very well.
