I wrote this when I was extremely bored… it starts with Helen watching the death of Hector to the fall of the city.

The Fall of Troy
The face that launched a thousand ships
Now stained with steady tears
As she gazed upon the scene set before her
Knowing it was to be the beginning
Of the fall of mighty Troy
For if he fell, the son of Troy
Everything would fall to ruin
And she stood silently and watched
Face soaked with tears
Watching as the son of Troy fell
The brave warrior crumble
Before an immortal foe
So brave was the son of Troy
That he fought knowing it was his death
And he did so with an unfailing strength
It was tears that she shed for him
The man whom she had brought this upon
As he fell she heard his wife cry and gasp
Falling to the stone floor in agony
As he fell she saw his brother
Hands clenched, crying silently
As he fell she saw his father
Shock on his old face
For the son of Troy had fallen
And with it so did all hope
The face that launched a thousand ships
Stared at the burning city
Heard the cries of the people
And guilt wrenched through her
All of this because of her
She had brought the fires upon them all
Mighty Troy was crumbling before her
Her lover was out there in the flames
Avenging the death of his noble brother
Searching for the immortal foe
And tears it was that she cried
For she knew that it was because of her
That the city was in ruins
The face that launched a thousand ships
Had brought with her the fall of Troy
