Notes: …Oh, come on. Like some people weren't wondering.

Worse
Saotome Taro sighed in resignation as soon as he saw the envelope, emblazoned with the red-and-blue "DA" logo. It could be worse, he told himself. His sister could be kidnapped, or murdered, or sneaking off again to pursue her crush of the week—soon forgotten, of course, in favor of her mysterious "Judai-sama!"—once again without telling the rest of her family. At least this way, they knew where she was. So really, things could definitely be worse.
"Mom!" he called into the kitchen, opening the letter. "Rei's run away to that dueling school again!"
"What?" came the screeching reply. "I told her she could go when she was the right age for high school! Yes, she managed to come in second at that fancy tournament last year and got some kind of scholarship, but how is she ever going to have a good career if she attends a school for dueling at age thirteen? We have to go call and pull her out of there right now!"
Taro scanned the letter's contents. "Um…it says here that now that she's accepted and entered the school, she can't come back until winter vacation or unless she's expelled. Something about scholarships and transportation problems."
"WHAAAAAAAT?"
Taro sighed again, reluctantly heading towards the kitchen. Things were officially worse.
