As I arrived at the Cullen's house I saw the Denali's had already arrived. I knew that my brother and his family were in great danger and that I would stand and fight with them. As I emerged from my car I herd a commotion coming from inside. As I approached the front door it grew silent. I knocked and Edward answered.
"May I help you?" He asked in a confused voice.
"Yes you may. I'm here to help. You probably don't know of me do you Edward?"
"I can't say I do. You I see know me though." He said, still puzzled.
"Well then. Hello Edward. I'm Claireita. I'm Carlisle's biological sister." I said. Half smiling and extending my hand. He looked back at me. Dazed for a moment. Perplexed by the fact that Carlisle had a living family member that he had never told them about. Nor had he ever thought about her. Which he thought was odd. I can read minds. Which is how I knew what he was thinking. My ability is very similar to Edward's except I can only read one mind at a time.
"This must be extremely odd for you aye?" I asked. Having a bit of fun with the situation.
"Indeed it is. So, You've been asked by Carlisle to come help us?" He asked.
"Yes I have. Now, what is the danger you and your family are in?" I asked brusquely.
"Well. I need you to promise that you will listen to the entire story before you judge or react. This is something you have never experience before. So throw away all your preconceived notions please." He said anxiously.
"Of course Edward. I wouldn't do anything different." I said as I stepped into the doorway. Just then I saw his wife Bella walk around the corner with something in her arms. Then the small child peaked through Bella's hair. I looked at her for a moment. Completely still. Analyzing the situation. Considering the facts. That Carlisle would never break this rule. That there had to be some explanation. Just then I herd her heartbeat and smelled her sent. She was half human. Then I herd the exact expiation come from Edwards lips a short moment after I discovered it myself.
"Would you let Renesmee show you her side of the story? She has a gift for explaining things." Bells said in a whisper. I looked at the small child in Bella's arms for a moment. Then I bent over to be at the same level as the child and smiled at her.
"You have a gift for explaining things aye? Lets see it luv." I said with a smile. She touched my face with her small hand and the entire story unfolded before my eyes. When the story ended I stood back up and looked to Edward. "There is no doubt in my mind that the child is not an immortal. How many of the Volturi are coming and how soon?"
"The entire guard. And the wives. Alice gave us a month." Edward said. I noticed that his voice hesitated on Alice's name. I nodded.
"I will witness. And fight with you. You are my family. Even though I have not been around you still are. I will not let you all die." I said.
"Claireita no one is asking you to fight with us." Edward exclamed.
"I know this. It is my choice." I said firmly.
"Thank you. Claireita."
"Please. Call me Claire." I said with a smirk.
