So well, I'm sorta back, I guess. hah... I did this little fic to get me back to writing again. i've been neglecting my other stories.
Setting: 2000-2001.
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone or anything.
A catastrophe.
That's what Chris Jericho thinks whenever he sees Trish in the past few weeks... A catastrophe.
He can't take his eyes off her. It is like watching a car accident in slow motion. Because Trish, smart as she is, has fallen in love.
Ironic, he thinks, how the world works. The buxom blonde is enamored of Dwayne Johnson, of all people. That's right, The People's Champion, himself.
It's so obvious, he can't believe no one else has noticed. Chris watches her every time the guys meet up. He sees her bite her lip and steal glances at her new trainer. The blond man sees her brown eyes sparkle and her cheeks blush, which for some reason that makes him even more agitated about it all.
Just cause the Rock has offered to train her is no reason to follow him around like a love-sick puppy and stare at him when she thinks no one is looking. Toots, I got news for you, he thinks, I'm watching.
Not in that way, of course. If he's going to mess around with a girl, it'd better be a stupid girl, not some smart-ass wannabe wrestler. Jericho wants an easy broad to make up for the empty space up top. He has never met a girl he hasn't wanted to shoot after five minutes, so there has to be some reward for putting up with them.
While he doesn't exactly want to kill Trish, even if she has the common sense of a three year-old. What does she think she's going to get, pining around after Dwayne like this? If Rocky had time for girls right now, he definitely would not dump his wife for Trish. If that's what Stratus thinks, she'll be waiting a long time.
Honestly, it's pathetic. She can't see what's right in front of her own face.
Every time he sees her hanging around, Jericho just gets angrier and angrier. Which is how, day after day, he can keep pushing away that other thought of his, the one that wonders why she bothers him so much.
Why doesn't he bring it up with the other guys? It would be so simple. That rookie Stratus, is sweet on Dwayne. Ha. What a joke!
But, this joke isn't funny at all. At least, not to Chris.
Review, please!
