Just a fun little poem I decided to write one day, I hope you enjoy!!

Disclaimer: I do not own the Lord of the Rings…or anything that has to do with the Lord of the Rings…although I did buy an Evenstar necklace which I guess does have to do with it...it's quite prettiful

Lady of the Evenstar

The lady of the Evenstar

Stood beneath the flowing waters

She captured his eyes from afar

And he knew she was the lord's daughter

So dark was her hair

So pale her skin

With shoulders wet and bare

Instantly love for her rose from within

Lightly it was she stepped from the falls

Wet robes falling about her feet

He gave out a soft call

Their eyes it seemed destined to meet

A bend of his waist he bowed low

Her cool hand lifted his head

His name it was she wished to know

He asked for hers and she ran ahead

Laughing she darted through the trees

After her he sped with grace

At last she fell to her knees

To a halt he stopped in place

Once more he asked for her name

She stood and answered with a grin

If he could guess he won the game

His prize was great if he could win

He gazed at her with a thoughtful glance

She turned to walk away

He opened his mouth and took his chance

And she decided to stay

"Arwen is what you are called

Though by some the Evenstar"

She looked at him slightly appalled

For he was a stranger from afar

His slow smile spread across his face

For she looked taken aback

"Long have I lived in this fair place

And a fair daughter the lord seemed to lack"

Puzzled she cocked her lovely head

And asked for his elvin name

This time it was he who ran instead

Continuing their childish game

After him she gave chase

Like a deer on her feet

And slowly down came the sun

At they bridge it was they would meet

"Estel is the name your father gave

My mother is long past

It was my life he decided to save

And peace here I found at last"

She smiled coyly up at him

Her long lashes hiding her eyes

His expression he made to look grim

So as not to seem eager for his prize

Her slender hand did reach out

And gave him a quick shove

He gave out a surprised shout

And the bridge he did fall off of

As he fell he grabbed her arm

Together in the icy water splashed

He looked at her with innocent charm

And she looked at him slightly abashed

He began to laugh at her pitiful face

And a glare she did give

But a laugh soon took its place

And the other they both did forgive

Suddenly he reached out to her

And brushed away her dripping hair

In her a strange feeling began to stir

And kiss her he did with great care

She pulled back slightly shocked

But leaned into him once more

In his arms she was soon locked

And there she wished to stay forevermore
