Author's Note/Disclaimer: I wrote this during school one day. It's a poem about all the characters of "9" in couplets. I normally don't enjoy writing poetry in a fixed scheme, but it worked well for this. I hope you other fans like it! I do not own anything from "9". Shane Acker and the whole crew that worked on the movie does. Enjoy!

The Future's Bright

-A 9 Poem

One.

One was the first of them all,

And he had a big ego for one so small.

He led them away from the danger because

Deep down, deathly afraid he was.

1~1~1~1~1

Two.

Two was a clever fellow.

Of his nature, he was kind and mellow.

To all he knew he was a friend.

And he was so courteous 'til the very end.

2~2~2~2~2

Three.

Three; he was one of the twins,

Who, like children, knew nothing of sins.

Not quite as brave as his sister was he,

But he had character, that number Three.

3~3~3~3~3

Four.

She was Three's sister, his partner in crime.

On many days, Four would spend her time

Dreaming of things in fantasy books,

But all she would get from it were peculiar looks.

4~4~4~4~4

Five.

Then there was Five, a friendly guy.

Through a terrible accident, Five had but one eye.

For all his inner fear, Five was strong,

And for that, his character was never wrong.

5~5~5~5~5

Six.

For every group, there is one misfit,

And for this group, Six was it.

He was an artist, driven by an inner force.

And as for his vision, only he knew the source.

6~6~6~6~6

Seven.

From her first day on Earth, Seven knew her path.

And woe to the unfortunate who brought on her wrath!

But for all the strength gathered she alone,

Seven could only accomplish so much on her own.

7~7~7~7~7

Eight.

Eight was a bully from the start,

With so much insecurity harbored in his heart.

That was why to his magnet he clung.

And to the death, loyally stood by One.

8~8~8~8~8

Nine.

Last but not least was number Nine.

Worse or better, he could not have come another time.

Lives were lost when he came on the scene,

But his motivation stopped the horrid machine.

9~9~9~9~9

Now there are no more numbers to name,

But fear not, for no one really is to blame.

For though death stripped away the lives of five,

The future's bright for the four that survived.

The End.
