Angel Dust
Description: A poem. Blair's reaction to Chuck's death and Chuck's attempt to reach out to her as a ghost.
Why won't Chuck Bass just let me be?
He sat down beside me in the park,
Wishing to, perhaps, make a remark,
But I roared at him like a wave to the sea.
Then again at a quarter past one,
He came to me with his head held high,
But before he could get in a short good-bye,
I was a block away at a mighty run.
Mr. Bass, he came again.
I was sitting down for a wonderful meal,
When his head appeared over the window seal,
I threw my plate at him and ran into the rain.
It was at dusk that I walked by the bay,
Weeping terribly with my head in my hand,
When I heard someone approach me in the sand.
I cried, "You left me! So stay away."
And he: I know I did, but I have to speak.
I've never loved another as I do you.
So, live and laugh and learn things too,
For life is still here for you to seek!
You have to, for me, love your life,
For if you don't I will surely die;
And so, now, I will say good-bye.
And he turned away from his widowed wife.
"Forget me not, but live you must";
And then he faded to angel dust.
