Sasuke Love

"Who is he?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Who is he, Sakura?"

"…"

He ruffles his hair and closes his eyes. Then he turns to look at the river crossing below the bridge. The birds are singing.

.

"I don't like him."

"You don't know him."

"So you know what I'm talking about." He looks at her from the corner of his eye.

She's not looking at him, and it bothers the young man, much more than he's willing to admit. He wonders if she looks at the other when he speaks to her.

She probably does.

.

"He has nothing to do with you."

"Everything about you has to do with me."

"That's not true," she frowns deeply, and finally looks at him, "you have nothing to do with me."

It stings his heart his heart to know she thinks nothing of him, and he can't quite smirk when he says "We have everything to do with each other."

.

She's silent. He's used to her being chirpy and loud. It's annoying not to hear her voice.

"Who is he?"

"His name is Renji."

"That's a stupid name."

She let's out a small snort; an almost laugh and he smirks just a bit.

"Your name's no better." He frowns.

She smiles.

They meet in the middle.

.

"Do you like him?"

"…I do."

"You don't," he shakes his head and closes his eyes, while she looks at him quizzically. "You can only like one person at a time."

"No, I don't."

"Yeah, you do," he opens one eye to look at her. "And you already like me."

"What makes you think that?" She's angry and frowning; her arms crossed furiously "I like him better than I do you."

"But you like me first, and that beats every other like."

"You just thought that up."

"Maybe," Small smirk, "but it doesn't make it any less true."

.

"…I might marry him."

"You wouldn't."

"I would."

He turns to look at her slowly, pausing on each step, slowly opening his eyes to look into hers. He stays looking at her for a moment. Then he nods, and goes back to stare at the river.

"You wouldn't."

"Try me."

"I won't."

"So you think I would." She's triumphant, and has fire in her eyes.

"I don't," He lets out a small yawn, and she swears he is the only one who can make it look graceful, "I simply think it a waste of time to prove something I already know is true."

Sometimes he infuriates her so.

.

"However, if you want, we can try marrying each other."

Most times, though, he charms her.

"I wouldn't."

"You would." He looks at her from the corner of his eye.

"…Well then you wouldn't" Her cheeks burn red.

"Maybe" He isn't smirking and his eyes are now fully open and looking at the water flowing below them.

"But I don't know if that's true." He closes his eyes. "So it wouldn't be a waste of time to try proving it wrong."

.

His eyes are closed. Her eyes are wide.

They meet in the middle.

.

"You have a weird way of proposing, Sasuke."

"I'm not proposing. I'm simply stating you won't marry that Renji guy."

"So what, I have to marry someone else?"

"You don't have to marry someone else," eye role, "I thought you were smart, Sakura."

"Sasuke-"

"You have to marry me," Indifferent face, "there's no other option."

"…"

"Tch, annoying."

.

They meet in the middle.

"So, are you calling Renji?"

"—who?"

"The guy you met on the mission!"

"Oh, hum, I don't think so."

"…"

"You see, ... I can't like him."

OWARI

A/N: S%*T. Pure, unadulterated rubbish. This is nothing compared to Daughter Complex, and I'm frankly not happy with it. But I still posted it because I promised I would post something soon, and its been quite long. So, If it is as bad as I think it is, then tell me why. If it isn't, ... I would be very happy.

So please, review, as long as it is friendly criticism and you explain why it is so horrible.

Thnx,

Chrys
