Did you love Hae-Joo Im?
Tell the Chairman of Narcissism he'll have to consult the future historians on that. My narrative is over. You can switch off your silver orison now, Archivist. My time is short and I claim my last request.

Hae Joo switched off the orison, suddenly aware of the emptiness Sonmi's answer delivered to his chest. He was not expecting the question from the Archivist, given Sonmi's revelation of her awareness of his identity, but more so, he did not expect her answer. Or maybe he should have?
He believed that everything was clear, but now doubt has clouded his mind… and although it should not, has undermined the value of what he had struggled to achieve. Maybe he should have been more straightforward. He had placed confidence in the subtle changes in their touch… and more in the entrance of passion in their lovemaking. Sonmi, in their last weeks together, apart from finding him out, should have also discovered that he had been turned. Or did she suspect that such were also part of the machinations of the Unanimity?
The question could have been a bait to romanticize Sonmi's revolution and she could have given that answer to avoid such fate. Or maybe, she was really protecting him… He was not really expecting her to declare her love for him, was he?
It is not the purpose for retrieving the orison. It is for Sonmi's legacy, it is for her remembrance, it is for more understanding. It is not for him to indulge in seeing her face again in her last hours. The revolution he continued is not for his love for her… it is for mankind.
He pauses. It is not time to struggle with the versions of truth in his mind. Historians may or may not be baffled with their affair, but one truth would not be contested in near time. The fall of Corpocracy is finally at hand.
