A Poem For My Love
There is no reprieve on my heart
He is blind to my feelings
But then again
Who am I
To love a man
As great as he is
No wonder he ignores me
And my pathetic feelings
They would be no benefit for him
Only a burden
But no matter how many times I tell myself that
It still hurts inside
The thing that keeps me going
Is knowing that no one else
Will love him like I do
It warms my heart
At least I'm with him
To see that he is alright
My love for him
Will forever grow
More and more each day
I will stay happy
So long as I am with him
By his side forever
