Innocence. New feelings. The feeling of hands intertwined, the uncertainty on pale faces. Blue eyes meeting each other in a silent understanding. Even if it was for a little bit, even if their time was limited, they'd enjoy what they could together. That was their path in this relationship, in this current . As days went on, the innocent feelings of love increased, young hearts swelling with happiness as their lips finally met. The feeling of holding hands, of naive concepts of love were no longer enough. This was dangerous. What they were doing was reckless. But it didn't matter. The overflowing power of love embraced them both. And that was barely enough for them.
The middle. She'd gone on. She was gone. She was taken from the prince and Prompto could do nothing to comfort him. Not now. Not in the middle of all this. Falling. Falling hard. Waking up bound, afraid, desperate for the warm safety, for the touch of Noctis. To know he wasn't really being blame for her death, for the other deaths. To know the man he was in love with was alive. Safe.
Reuniting. All of them. There. But then. Gone. Separated again. Not even an ounce of warmth shed between the two of them. Not even time to be alone, to console each other. A bittersweet escape to safety.
The end. It truly was. The embrace shared that night, was it night? Was it day? They weren't certain. But the warmth shared between their bodies was something that the blonde needed, craved, over the last ten years. One last fire. One last embrace. Five hundred last kisses. And the understanding that when dawn came, he'd be alone again. Afraid to reach out, to find that fire, that warmth that they shared.
The dawn. It truly was a bittersweet ending. A bittersweet farewell. Seeing the sunlight, feeling the sun's warmth once more. Tears came. Endlessly down the blemished cheeks. Wishing Hoping that this was a lie. That there'd be one last time. Just. One last goodbye.
