Author's Note: Hello! My new fic, guys. I recently developed a liking into Rico (Rachel/Nico). So I thought to give it a try. (btw, I also ship Dramione. What is it with me shipping forbidden love? ) Anyways, I'm going to make this fic a 4-shot. That is, if people actually read and like this. :P

Edit: Oh my gods, it's been, what? 2 years since I wrote this? I'm really sorry for everyone who had to read this sorry excuse for a fanfiction. I'm in the process of editing it. I don't even know if I'm going to update this because I'm not sure of how I'm going to continue from where I've left off. But we'll see.

Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson or its characters. The awesome Rick Riordan does.

In the Palace of Hades, Nico di Angelo was pacing in his room. His hair stood up in different directions from when his hands ran through it. His eyes, which had gained dark circles from the past sleepless nights, were glued to the floor. Occasionally, his eyes would lit up whenever he thought of an idea, but glued back because he quickly found a flaw in said idea.

Nico sat down on the edge of his bed. He had been pacing for about 25 minutes now, thinking up of ways on how he was going to do it. He didn't really plan on asking her this. Well, he was but not until in the near future. He wasn't really eager to ask her. He would gladly wait a few more years to. If it wasn't for Persephone, his stepmother, he wouldn't be anxious and nervous right now. He wouldn't be sleep deprived for god-knows-how-long. Hell, he wouldn't be having all these butterflies fluttering in his stomach!

Snap out of it, he thought to himself. Wouldn't it better to ask her now? You can finally say she's officially yours and no one, not even Apollo, can say otherwise.

"Okay," He exhaled. He got on one knee.

"Rachel, will you marry?" He shook his head. "No, too simple."

"Rachel Dare, will you make me the happiest man on earth by marrying me?" He shook his head again. "No, too mainstream!"

"I want to grow old with you."

"Having you by my side completes me."

"Before I met you, I never realized how empty my life was."

"Congratulations, Miss Rachel Dare! I, Nico di Angelo, have chosen YOU to be my wife!"

"Rachel, Will you please marry me? With a cherry on top?"

"For the love of Hades, just marry me already!"

The last line sounded so desperate, Nico gave up. He stood up from the floor and ran his hand through his hair.

"Why is this so fucking complicated?" He slumped on his bed and stared at the ceiling.

This was all Persephone's doing.

It was at dinner, a month ago, when Persephone asked about his relationship with the oracle.

Flashback

He was late. Again.

He was going to turn himself into a sunflower if kept his step-mother waiting.

He pushed open the doors that lead to the dinning room, when he arrived, his 'family' was waiting for him.

"Ah, Nico! So glad you finally decided to show up and not keep your family waiting." Demeter greeted.

"Indeed," Hades piped in, "you're late but you haven't had the decency to comb your hair, boy?"

"Gee, a good evening to you guys too."

After years of dating, Nico was finally going to propose to Rachel. She and Nico got together after the great war between the gods and giants. They won. Nico courted Rachel for 5 months. Rachel's parents didn't approve of Nico the first time they met him. Nico thought it was because he smelled like death. Literally. Or was it the fact that he and Percy were related? Nico wasn't sure.

Nico also had to get permission from Apollo too. That took a lot of guts. When he told Apollo, He almost blasted Nico back to the 1930's! Apollo was so angry. But after a few weeks, Apollo calmed down. He eventually allowed Nico. Because he saw Rachel was happy with him and a certain love goddess wanted them to end up together.

But Apollo made Nico promise one thing. And that was to "save up" until marriage. They did. They didn't do anything pass kissing. And that took a lot of self-restraint on Nico's part.

That was another problem.

Him and Rachel's 5th year anniversary was next week. He has to have everything prepared by then. The Dinner, Music, Flowers, etc. Everything has to be special for his red-head. That was another hard task.

Nico sighed. How is he going to think of what to say, what to do, and how to do it in just seven days?

He imagined Rachel in a lacy white-dress while walking down the aisle, smiling at him.

He also imagined Rachel and Him on their honeymoon…

Stop that, He scolded himself. You haven't even proposed to the girl yet. If you don't think of a way to propose to her, you're going to start spending your "nights" with Mr. Hand, pal.

Nico propped himself on his elbow. He looked at the engagement ring he bought for her. A huge, heart-shaped diamond encrusted in a gold band. To normal people, this would have cost a fortune. But not to him. Hey, his dad was good for one and one thing only. He was also the God of wealth.

He looked at the clock, 10:47 p.m. It said. "It's going to be a long night." He muttered to himself.

End Note: So, did you love it? Hate it? Constructive criticisms are alright. I know It's short. I'm not updating until I get 3-5 reviews. I just want to know if I should continue this or not.

Don't forget to review and favorite!
