I have decided to finally write this. I have had this idea in the back of my head for a while now, and I decided to write it. This story will be more like an episode, so it will be short. Maybe only about 5 chapters or so.
Important note for artists: I am having an art contest on my Deviantart to celebrate 1,000 pageviews and 60 watchers. I have a journal that explains the rules. It's labelled "OC Artfest!". If you like to draw, please go check it out. My Deviantart is Phantom-Umbreon.
Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago.
It was the middle of the night. The full moon shone brightly above a small, peaceful village. Two guards stood in front of the entrance to a large building. Unknown to them, two dark figures were scaling the wall.
The figures silently hopped up onto the roof. One of them took out a rope while the other opened one of the window panels of the skylight. The dark figure secured the rope to a generator on the roof. He gave it a few strong tugs to make sure it would hold. He handed the other end of the rope to the other dark figure, who preceded to use it to climb down into the building.
Once he was inside, he checked to be sure the room was empty. He turned around to discover the prize that he was after. The sacred gem of the village. The gem seemed to be cut clean in half.
The figure smiled and took out a portable glass cutter. He began to cut a circle into the glass casing. Finally he finished cutting and pushed the circle of glass inwards. He reached in and snatched the half-gem. The figure's eyes widened in alarm as an alarm system was set off. He quickly ran over to the rope and began climbing as fast as he could.
After making it to the top, he, along with his friend, sprinted off of the roof. They both tucked and rolled, landing safely on the ground. The two then ran off into the nearby woods.
"Ah, thank goodness you're here, Ninja," the curator of the museum exclaimed with relief. The curator was a short man with brown hair. He wore tan shirt with matching tan pants. Nya had gotten a call early that morning from the small town, saying that they needed help. They didn't tell them what they needed help with however.
"So, what did you need help with," Cole asked curiously.
"The sacred gem has been stolen," the curator explained.
"By who? And why would someone steal it?" Jay asked.
"We don't know who stole it," the curator said. "It was two random thieves. We couldn't make out their faces," he continued. "As for why they'd steal it, I don't know. It's not very valuable, but it was very special to our ancestors."
"We'll just have to ask the after we catch them," Cole said. "We'll get it back."
The curator's face lit up with joy. "Ah, thank you Ninja! I can't express my gratitude."
"Where did they run off to anyways?" Kai asked.
"They ran off into the forest," the curator said. "Be careful in there. We've had tons of people get lost in that forest," he warned. "I wouldn't be surprised if the thieves are lost in there, themselves," he joked, chuckling. The Ninja gave each other worried glances.
I know the chapter is short, but I promise the next chapter will be longer. I have a ton of other stories that I'm working on. I'll try my best to not leave this one for an extended period of time. I hope you guys liked it. If you have anything you'd like to say, please go ahead and say it. I love feedback. Anyways, until next time!
