Words can not describe how disgusted I am with the Magic High Commission. They are the true villains of this show. Not Meteora, not Eclipsa, not even Toffee. Anyway, this isn't really a story, just how I think the process of Festivia ascending to the throne happened. Please enjoy!

"I don't like this," stated Rhombulus, crossing his snake arms which were both hissing. "Doesn't doing this count as treason or something?" He was couldn't help but stare at the bundle which held a small baby girl with clovers on her cheeks and a rather long tail with short gray hair and pointed ears. She was being held in her stepfather's arms. This was Meteora Butterfly, the soon to be former Princess of Mewni.

"We don't have a choice, Rhombulus!" snapped Hekapoo, her shrill voice making everyone in the room wince as she glared at the baby in disgust. "Mewni can't be ruled by a monster! We have to get rid of her!"

"Hekapoo, stop screaming," Omnitraxus Prime muttered from inside his crystal ball, holding a hand to his temple. "You're giving me a headache." Lekmet bleated his agreement. "Glossaryck, have you found the child?"

Glossaryck sighed and nodded, tapping Omnitraxus' crystal ball which showed another baby. This one, however, had blue hair so dark that it was nearly black and very normal-looking ears. She was an ordinary mewman. "This is her," he confirmed. "Festivia." He glared at the rest of the Magic High Commission. "I'm still against this, by the way."

Hekapoo huffed. "Well, you were outvoted." She held her arms out to King Shastakan. "I'll go make the swap now." King Shastakan handed over the baby eagerly. He wouldn't say so in front of the High Commission, but he was extremely glad to be rid of the half-monster spawn his unfaithful wife had created. He wanted absolutely nothing to do with his stepdaughter and would gladly take an ordinary human girl instead. Anything to be rid of the vile creature.

And so Hekapoo left with the baby, leaving the High Commission to wonder if they were doing the right thing.

The forger knocked on the door to Miss Heinous' Home for Lost Children when she arrived. A fairly young woman answered the door. "Oh!" she exclaimed in recognition before curtseying. "Your Excellency, I wasn't expecting you so soon." She stepped to the side. "Please, come in."

Hekapoo nodded curtly and entered the small building. "So, where is she?" she asked.

The woman led her to a crib in the middle of the room where little Festivia slept. She gently lifted the baby. "Here you go," she said, offering the child. Hekapoo took the child and gave the woman Meteora in return. "What's her name?"

"It doesn't matter," Hekapoo insisted. "You have to change it anyway. She can not know the truth. No one can."

The woman nodded her understanding. "Yes, Your Excellency," she complied. "What has happened here will not leave this room."

"Good." Hekapoo turned to leave, holding Festivia close to her.

OoOoOo

The Magic High Commission all gathered around Hekapoo when she returned with the baby. "She doesn't have the marks," Omnitraxus noticed. "Won't people find that odd?"

Glossaryck shook his head. "She needs to be touched by the royal magic wand just as any other young Princess of Mewni," he informed the group. "Her marks should appear then and the wand should accept her when she's fourteen."

"Do well tell her the truth when she's older?" asked Rhombulus.

Hekapoo glared at him. "What kind of question is that? Of course not!" She looked around the group for confirmation. "We never tell her or any future Butterfly heirs, right?"

Glossaryck sighed. "That is correct. If they or any of the public find out, there will be chaos. This must stay between us." He turned to the King, trying not to let his disdain for the man show on his face. "I trust that we can entrust her care to you, King Shastakan?"

He nodded. "Of course. I will raise her as my own."

The founder of the Commission sighed. "Then it's settled." He held the royal magic wand in his grip and hovered over to Festivia. He placed it in front of the child and she giggled before touching. Almost instantly, it changed into something akin to a rattle and she began to suck on it. Two red stars appeared on her cheeks. "It is done."

Everyone bowed before the infant. "Princess Festivia of Mewni."

OoOoOo

I'm not too fond of Hekapoo, does it show? Lol, I might write a companion piece to this about Festivia becoming queen and coming to term with being Eclipsa's "daughter." I honestly feel bad for her. She has to bare the responsibility of ruling a kingdom that isn't hers and live up to being the spawn of the "Queen of Darkness" when she isn't. All thanks to the Magic High Fucking Commission. *sigh* Anyway, please review and tell me what you think!
