Cookies
It was normal night in the Royal Palace in the Fire Nation. Mai was spending the night over. She and Zuko had a bit of an argument earlier. But nothing major. So later while everyone was asleep, well at least everyone. Mai was still wide awake. She just couldn't sleep.
Plus she was also hungry. So Mai decided to go to the kitchen and get something to eat.
She had to be quiet walking down. When she got down there, Mai saw something in the kitchen. It was Zuko. It looked like he was also looking for something to eat.
"I see I'm not the only one who's hungry" Mai said. "I'm hungry. Is that a problem?" Zuko stated. "No. It's that I just said I wasn't the only one hungry. Anyway, do you have anything sweet?" Mai asked. "Check on the top left shelf" Zuko answered.
Mai just nodded and looked in the top left self. There she saw an unopened bag of chocolate chip cookies. "Ohhh, I found myself a bag of cookies" Mai said. "Well let's share that" Zuko suggested.
"The whole bag?" Mai asked. "No" Zuko said. "Oh. Anyway let's eat" Mai said opening the bag. "Fatty" Zuko teased. "You say that again and you are dead meat" Mai threatened. "You always say that, and you never killed me" Zuko answered smartly. Mai slapped Zuko playfully in the arm.
It was quiet for a while. The only thing you heard was chewing.
Then Mai spoke.
"About the fight earlier, I'm sorry" "Why are you saying sorry? It was nothing major" Zuko stated. "I know but I just don't like it when we fight" Mai said trying not to show any emotion.
"Anyway, I'm sorry to" Zuko said. Mai went for another cookie but realized there weren't anymore. "We ate the whole bag" Mai said. "You ate most of them anyway" Zuko joked. "No" Mai quickly said. Zuko poked Mai's belly. "Stop that" Mai said pretty loud.
"Be quiet before we get in trouble" Zuko stated. "Sorry" Mai apologized. Mai threw the bag away. Both re-brushed their teeth and this time, Mai slept in Zuko's room.
