"You! You are the one and true king Arthur?"

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Unfortunately, Amy did not believe his crazy tale, and accused him of making the whole story up as an excuse for why he stood her up on their date. She then went on to say that he probably saw a chilidog and forgot all about their date. Unfortunately, Sonic was not willing to blatantly lie to his girlfriend's face about something like that. Things spiraled downhill from there.

This was only the beginning of his relationship problems. Everyone was shocked that Sonic and Amy weren't working out like a "perfect" couple should, and unfortunately, they all blamed Sonic.

Why isn't it working! Sonic thought angrily one day. Of course, his friends, who he currently wasn't speaking with, had an answer to this too. Tails had put it very eloquently:

"You need to stay put. Girls don't like it when you keep running off on them everywhere. Just slow down enough to talk to her and spend some time with her. Not everyone's as fast as you."

Sonic growled in frustration.

"FUCK!"

Stay put? He was the knight of the WIND, dammit. How was he supposed to do something so contrary to his nature?

Since Sonic wasn't on speaking terms with Tails he was basically homeless until he resolved his issues with Amy and the rest of his friends.

What was he supposed to do? Why did life have to be so complicated? He had honestly never thought of life being complicated or simple before. Life just was. And life being complicated might not have been that much of an issue for him, if he could actually solve his problem.

Sonic slowed down and stopped running, exhausted and out of breathe. He sighed, looking up at the sky in despair. The big, open, blue sky.

It's times like these, he mused. That I can actually stay put. If only I had wings like Jet.

"Arthur…"

"Huh? Who's there?"

"Arthur…"

And in a flash, he was gone.
