Limit your love

Intro

Written by oneofyourfrenchgirls

Dean Winchester falls in love for the first time when he is sixteen years old. His love is loud, broad and sleek - not a single scratch on her, new tires and a tank full of gas. His father watches as his oldest son falls in love with his new car, the Chevrolet purring to life as Dean turns the key. It is love at first touch, and his father smiles wide and happy as his boy and the car slowly exits the garage, out on the street.

It is the first time Dean is heading out on a real trip by himself, driver's licence burning hot and new in his pocket. He catches his father's proud face before turning left and heading out towards the main road. His heart beats fast and loud, the music almost drowning in the noise.

He inhales, exhales; a deep sigh of happiness as he drives his love for the first time. It is completely different from driving his mother's Toyota - stronger, heavier and most definitely much cooler.

Dean thinks about driving past Gordon Walker down the street to brag about his new and first car, but he doesn't. This moment is entirely his and his alone, and he heads out of town, out on the open roads and he doesn't care that he is going to be late for dinner and that his mom is going to get angry with him.

The open fields seem wider as he soars past them, the white snow a thin layer over the usually green and yellow grounds, and he comes to the forest parts of the road. The trees are tall and bare, the sight getting bad as the trees covers the light grey sky. He doesn't turn back home until he reaches the Singer salvation yard, using his uncle's driveway to turn, driving just as fast home.

He reaches the centre of Lawrence quite fast, driving carefully among the other cars to avoid any idiots scratching his love. He drives past Gordon's apartment, just in case his friend is having a smoke and wants to chat some, but Gordon is nowhere to be seen and Dean heads back to the house.

His little brother is there, on the driveway, waving with chubby arms and with a big smile on his face, red cheeks and no jacket on despite the cold. Dean puts the car in park, but doesn't turn the engine off, which is a sign for Sam to get in. Sam opens the passenger door with much eager, perhaps from being frozen, and gets in.

"Seatbelt," Dean reminds his brother. Sam just gives him the judging, bitchy look that only a twelve-year-old can give.

Sam turns up the music a little, even though he always spends a good while to criticize Dean's taste in music usually, and they get back out on the road.
