Hey! So this is just a little something I wrote for my English class, I thought I could share it with you. So basically, this is what if Alice was a teenager in a mental institution. I hope you'll like it. Thanks for reading and I hope you'll enjoy. Drew.

A woman was sitting across a young girl. That woman had a notebook in her lap and a pen in her hand. The girl she was facing was sitting cross-legged on her chair. She was a teenager with long blond hair and clear eyes. The girl was staring out the window. The woman opened her notebook and started to talk.
"So Alice, how have you been since the last time?", she asked.
"I was on time today." is all the girl - Alice – replied.
"I saw that, it's good. Now tell me, do you sleep well? Did you have this dream again?"
The girl made a sound of approval before she said "Always the same."
"And what did you do in it?"
"I was at a tea party." Alice said in a dull voice.
"With the, uhm, Mad Hatter, that's it?" the woman asked looking down at her notes.
"And the March Hare and the Dormouse too. The Cheshire Cat tried to come but the Mad Hatter wouldn't let him." she added.
"Why is that?"
"They don't really get along I guess.", the girl seemed lost in her thoughts for a moment.
"So nothing changed? At all?"
At that, Alice leaned toward the woman and whispered looking straight in her eyes, as if telling a secret "I think the blue caterpillar smoke even more than it used to."
"You're still taking your medecine?" the woman asked frowning.
"I eat what I'm told to eat."
"That's good Alice. And tell me, how do you feel in those dreams?" the woman wanted to know. "Do you feel safe? Are you afraid?"
"I know the place, and I know them. I'm fine there, it's like meeting friends."
"I don't-"
"Why is a raven like a writing desk?" Alice cut the woman.
"I don't know? Why?"
"I don't know. The Mad Hatter told me this riddle. It's funny, I usually find the answer, it's always easy, but not his one."
"Do the Mad Hatter know the answer?" the woman wanted to know.
"I don't think so."
"Maybe your mind is trying to get through to you. Maybe the riddle is way to make you realize something."
"No it's not. It isn't even my riddle, it's the Mad Hatter's.
The woman let out a tired sigh. "You know this isn't real Alice. They are dreams, not memories."
"Do you believe in what you see?" the woman seemed taken aback.
"Sure." she said slowly, unsure of where the girl was going with this.
"So do I. And I see them every night."
"This is only in your head Alice." the woman said.
"Of course this is in my head. It's doesn't mean that this isn't real."
The woman opened her mouth before closing it speechless. "I think it's enough for today. A nurse will take you back to your room."
The girl nodded before getting up. She started walking toward the door before stopping and turning to face the woman. "I know what you think, you think I'm crazy. So what if I'm crazy? The best people are."
She started humming to herself as she exited the room, her long hair disappearing from sight. The psychiatrist looked back at her notes with sadness. She was losing hope about Alice. Her case had yet to improve, in fact it was just getting worse. The words Hallucinations, Confusion, or Psychosis were written clearly on the pages. All these symptoms leading to one mental disorder, and it's with sorrow that the psychiatrist wrote the word Schizophrenia.
